The Dakigaeri Gorge runs through the towns of Tazawako and Kakunodate in Akita. It is famous for its red and yellow leaves in autumn and is featured in many postcards and photographs. I believe the scenery in Akita is most breathtaking when compared with other places I visited. If I ever have a chance to re-visit the country for sure I will go to Furano and Akita!
