This site was designed and is owned by Ira Kraemer. In 1960 and 1961 ; I, Ira Kraemer had the good fortune to be a student of Pierre Monteux at the Domaine School for Conductors in Hancock Maine. It was his wonderful guidance and his infinite patience with this then very young neophyte conducting student which has inspired this site. Every student of "Le Maitre" as he was known, worshiped and respected him as a great musician and a great person. I am sure that all of his remaining students, colleagues, friends and enthusiasts of this most important 20th century will enjoy the celebration of his life on this web site.
