In 1998 the Royal Alliance competed in the WSMBC state championships and won their division. Through the dedication of it's talented members and fine staff, the Royal Alliance has established itself as one of the elite high school marching bands on the west coast.

NEWS
----------

September 2000: After a sucssesfull band camp after school rehersals have begun. They are Monday and Wensday from 2:30 to 5:00pm at Olive Pierce Middle School.

August 2000: A new band director for the Royal Alliance has been found. Karri Brown will take over as band director and she hopes to keep the winning seasons coming for the Royal Alliance. Mrs. Brown we wish you the best for the 2000 Royal Alliance season.

June 2000: The latest news is not the happiest news for some members of the Royal Alliance because the future of the program has now become uncertain. Band Director Russ Moreau has made a decision to leave the Royal Alliance to futher his career at Fallbrook High School in San Diego's North County. We all hope that the future of the Royal Alliance Marching band is not a grim one and hopefully the new director will have just as good of an impact on the kids as Russ did. Thank You Russ Moreau for all the time and effort you put into making the Royal Alliance what it is today.

November 20, 1999: The Royal Alliance placed third in the WSMBC state competition with a fine score of 92.12. This marks the second year that the Royal Alliance has competed at the contest. Keeping with a tradition started in 1998, the Royal Alliance played the show down one last time for the seniors in the parking lot. With an audience of seniors, parents, staff, and even students from other bands, the Royal Alliance performed their show "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" with all the passion and heart of a champion. The 1999 season will be one not soon forgotten by anyone involved with the Royal Alliance.
