Info On The Mountain Brass Trio

The Mountain Brass Trio is a little known, little heard group based out of the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. We have been playing music together for about three years, and we've been doing the Mountain Brass Trio for about two years.
The three of us have also been part of a barbershop quartet named "Uncalled Four" (if you heard us you'd know why we're called that). All three of us are student members of the Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association(TUBA). We've performed numerous times in and around the Mount Washington Valley Area of New Hampshire, including church services, parties, meetings, witch burnings (How do you know she's a witch???) mud wrestling tournaments, and pig roasts (just kidding about those last three). Seriously, though, we love to play and make music. We have a large repertoire including our signature piece (which was playing in the background of the page that brought you here, if your computer could handle it), a German secular motet called "The Sonata from Die Bänkelsängerlieder" (The Bench-Singer Song), Bach chorales, and transcribed psalms to name just a few.
Joshua Newton, our principal euphonium player, who also plays trombone, trumpet, and horn with the group, has just started his second year at the University of Southern Maine majoring in Music Education. He is also a composer and conductor. To learn more about him, you can visit his page by clicking on his name.
Al Lewis, III, trombone and euphonium, is a very talented musician in many aspects. He resides in North Carolina and goes to school down there. You can learn more about Al through his Geocities web page, just click his name.
Adam Newton, master of the tuba and trombone and anything else he can get his hands on, and Josh's brother, has just started his fourth semester at the University of Southern Maine. For more information on Adam, you can visit his website by clicking on his name, or if you'd like more information on USM, click the blue letters on that.

For more information on bookings, or just to drop a line and say "Hey there", you can EMAIL us (click here), or if you are local, you can reach us at (603) 356-6332. Hey, if nothing else, PLEASE be sure to sign our guestbook...
                   Musically yours,
