| Well friends, I'm a 18 year old boy from Kolkata, India. My birthday is on the 22nd of August. I read in class/grade 12 in the science stream. I am not a such out-going person, but I really like making friends. However, I listen to music all the day round. I love Indian Ghazals, Indian classical intrumentals and Classical Vocals. I also listen to some Western rocks and Pops. Backstreet Boys, Savage Garden, Celine Dion and Bryan Adams are my favorites. I also adore Amjad Ali Khan & Ali Akbar Khan(Sarod) , Ravi Shankar (Sitar), and Zakir Hossain (tabla). Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Enigma, Robert Miles & Yanni are my most favourite instrumental musicians. But I like Richard Clayderman's magical tunes on the piano the best. My hobbies are Coin Collection , writing poetries (in my mother-tongue, Bengali) and reading lots and lots and lots of story books. I also have done stage performances in elocution and One-Act Plays. |

| Besides my studies I am also involved with a lot of co-curricular activities. I used to practise singing and even performed in public successfully on a reputed stage. I have practised Yogasana for over 5 years. I have won several medals in intra-club swimming. I have learnt painting for more than 8 years and have won a number of first prizes from several competitions. But I had to leave most of these due to excessive pressure of my studies. Now I practise Kyokushin style karate (the most offensive and dangerous one among all other styles). I am presently Brown Belt. The next gradation test will fetch me the Black Belt. I love this sport very much and wish to continue it forever. Besides giving me pleasure, it gives me tremendous physical and mental strength and a sound and strong physique. I have read all the books of the Harry Potter series and in my opinion they are just amazing !! I've also watched the movies and they are also superb. I've become a great fan of Harry Potter!! My most favorite book is 'The Goblet of Fire'. |
