William Wesley Sanders was born 1797 and died March
9, 1876 at Boonshill, Lincoln County, Tennessee. His wife was Elizabeth Haislip Byrd. She was born in 1790
and died either the 16th or 24th of July, 1853.

Elizabeth Haislip Byrd was the daughter of Laban Haislip and Rebecca Welch.

She was first married to
Richard Byrd who died shortly after they came to Tennessee.

Elizabeth Haislip and Richard Byrd were the parents of
three children. They were Elifred Byrd who probably
died young since no records of him have been found.
They had two daughters, Rebecca Byrd who was born
October 20, 1808 and died October 12, 1876. She was
married to Edmond Pigg. The second daughter was
Penelope Byrd who was married to Joel Pigg.

William Wesley Sanders and Elizabeth Haislip Byrd Sanders were the parents of the following:

William Carroll Sanders who married Mary Ann Porch.

Samuel Sanders was born about 1819.

James H. Sanders was born May 28, 1822 and died July
10, 1879. He was married July 25, 1854 to Louisa J.
Hedgepeth. Louisa J. Hedgepeth was born March 21, 1833 and died November 9, 1921.

Elizabeth Malinda Sanders, born July 24, 1823 and died in 1907. She was married September 2, 1841 to Tilmon Britton Finley.
