No Life?
No Life?
Westlife are reported to be in the middle of a crisis today (and no,
it's not agonising over a decision on whether to release yet another
ballad). The Daily Mirror reports that singer Shane Filan is ready
to quit the band unless tour manager Anto Byrne is re-instated
following his sacking last week.
That pesky record company insider tells the paper: "There were
already simmering tensions in the band but when Anto was forced out,
it was the last straw for Shane. He made his feelings clear at a
showdown band meeting."
"Morale is at an all time low," claims the insider. Shane is
considering a mega-bucks solo deal while pie-lovin' Bryan McFadden
is also making plans for back-up career. Westlife's record company
have denied the band are splitting up but there are rumours that the
group's Dublin Landsdowne Road gig in March could be their final
farewell. And miss out on Christmas No. 1 ballad? Surely not?
