Where does
WuSister's love affair with Trinidad begin? Could it be her mom
taking her to Centre Island to hear the Calypsonians every Caribana
weekend when she was little? How about her continuous record of dating
Trinidadian men? Or could it be her love of spicy foods?
Whatever it is the fact remains that WuSister loves Trinidad and
the love affair that she was having with Trinidad, Trinidad seemed to
be having with WuSister.
As you know I am always looking
for evidence of Wu-Tang everywhere I go. Was there evidence of
Wu-Tang in Trinidad? Yes, my cousin saw a guy at the Jamboree
party with a Wu-Tang tattoo - although I couldn't seem to find him
(although, I did see this picture of a guy with a Wu-Tang tattoo on Triniscene.com).
A radio DJ told me that Wu-Tang is very popular in Trinidad -
although I didn't hear any (to be fair it was Carnival and
all I heard was Soca, Calypso, Pan and Chutney). And my friend
had this T-shirt in his closet.

Things I love about Trinidad:
Fetes - no coat check, fetes any day of the week,
partying outside, food in the fete, all inclusive, friendly people.
Food - Hot sauce, doubles, corn soup, saheena.
The People: saying "Good morning/ afternoon / night" to everyone, the
friendliness and helpfulness.
The Island: The beaches, wild parrots, the weather.
Things I don't like about Trinidad:
Sand Flies, when people say "no problem" when there is a problem
