File #3- Welcoming Letter

8/27/04
To our newest researchers:

Congratulations on being chosen to come and work here in the Umbrella Corporation's newest facility town that we have aptly named: "The Village." Out of the nearly 25,000 applicants, you 16 are the best that Umbrella had to offer. The Village is on a penninsula in Spain, and is fenced in on the fourth side by a barbed-wired fence with gun turrets. This is only a safety measure in order to keep outsiders out, as the experiments going on inside the Village are highly top secret. For your safety, please do not attempt to leave The Village on the ground as you may be become a failed specimen. Sorry, occupational humor. The Village is a fully functioning town as you can see by the attached map, but we allow no contact with the outside world, as per your contracts. There is but one emergency radio inside the Research Facility, but only use that in extreme emergencies. The radio in the Left Tower is only used to contact the flights coming in and out of the Airstrip. We will let you get settled in for a few days before giving you your keycards to the the Research Center and assigning you to your jobs and houses. For the time being, please familiarize yourself with the Village, and make arrangements at the Inn to get you a room for a few days. I hope you will all soon become a very personal part of the Umbrella Family.

Doctor Kristopher Karter, Head Researcher

Any area of the Village not blocked in by the Gate is blocked in by Water.

A) Airstrip- Where all outgoing flights begin and all incoming flights end. This is the equivalent of a small airport. The fence surrounding the fourth side of the Village is but a few hundred yards from here. It is on the SW side of the village.

B) Left Tower- Aptly named because it is to the left of the Airstrip. Used mostly for monitoring the flights coming into and leaving the Airstrip. Has a gun turret on the top protecting the fence.

C) Right Tower- Aptly named because it is to the right of the Airstip. Used mostly as a office to govern the ordering and distribution of supplies needed for the Marketplace, Inn, Hospital, and Pub. Has a gun turret on the top protecting the fence.

D) Warehouse- North of the airstrip and towers, it is a storage center with supplies for the Marketplace, Inn, Hospital, and Pub.

E) Farm House/Farm- Slightly NE of the Warehouse, the Farm is used for the homegrowing of some food supplies in the village. Also has an array of livestock including cows and chickens. There is a small farm house on the farm that is the home of farmer's family that tends to the land.

F) Houses- Far to the North of the Airstrip is a section of housing in the Village. House 100, House 200, House 300, and House 400 are here for those researchers and families who chose not to have an on-base apartment in the research facility or do not have the credentials to have an on-base apartment.

G) Marketplace- On the most NW of the Village, overlooking the ocean is the marketplace, for all your purchasing needs. There is three main stores in the marketplace: The Grocery Store for food/toiletries/etc, The Hardware Store for tools/firearms for hunting/etc, and the General Store for just about everything else to include books and music.

H) Ye Ol' Village Inn- Directly east of the farm is the Inn, the third largest building in the Village. The Inn has several rooms available for new researchers who need a room until they are assigned an apartment, and also for husbands who have been told to sleep on the couch. The Inn also has a pool and jacuzzi for relaxation. It also has a door that leads directly to the Pub.

I) The Village Idiot aka The Pub- If you want to become severely intoxicated after a long day of DNA splicing, this is your place. Aptly named "The Village Idiot" because... well... have you ever seen a drunk person? This is the most lively place on Saturday nights.

J) The Village Church- South of the Inn/Pub is the only Church in the Village. It caters to every religion that is currently practiced in the Village. It also overlooks the Graveyard. It is mostly open on Sundays, but anyone is welcome at anytime.

K) The Graveyard- This is where we come to remember and mourn our faithful researchers who have died giving everything they had in the name of research. This is sacred ground that should never be defiled.

L) Hospital- East of both the Church and Inn, this is the only medical facility in the Village. It really isn't so much a hospital then it is a glorified doctor's office. There is a fully functional ER and OR, just in case. We call it a Hospital just so it sounds bigger then it is. Come here for everything from a cough, to a broken arm, or even a virus.

M) Research Facility- The Research Facility lies on the most NE part of the Village, also overlooking water. This is where most of the Village Employees work day in and day out. You need a keycard to deactivate the electric fence surrounding the facility and a separate keycard to unlock the front door. These keys are user specific. You are not allowed to discuss the events that transpire inside the facility with ANYONE who does not have clearence for the facilty. Each user's keycard will only allow them access to the levels of the lab that are required for their job. Loaning your keycard to anyone is in violation of your contract and you will be terminated on the spot.

N) The Karter Mansion- This is the home of the head researcher of the Village, the respected and distinguished Dr. Kristopher Karter. The Mansion is surrounded by it's own barbed wire fence, and no one is allowed in without the formal request of the Doctor himself.

O) [This area of text is blacked out. On the map corresponding to this text there is a picture of a building with handcuffs. A prison perhaps?]

P) Forest- The SE most area of the Village is reserved for the Forest. This area has been left as it was when the Village was founded. This area is widely used for hunting, meditating, and picnics.

Umbrella's newest Research town, named "The Village," is quickly becoming the fastest growing asset in the Umbrella family. Located in Western Europe, The Village has already produced research data years ahead of it's time. The Village is headed by Doctor Kristopher Karter, the young 27 year old protege that has spent time working in all of Umbrella's top labs, to include our now defunct Raccoon City Labratory. The Village is a fully functioning city, complete with taverns, markets, a inn, and even a hospital. In the 13 months of it's existence there has only been one major accident to date, with the deaths of 45 crew members due to a----

File #7- Safe Combination, Bottom Half

Whoever built this forsaken safe is a mad man! A mad man! I don't have that much time left and I NEED what is in that safe! So much depends on if I can get in there... I have all the clues, but I can't even get passed the first part! AH! The second half of the safe is controled by a turn dial with numbers from Zero to Sixty. I've been told that there are six numbers, and that the man who built this damned thing was big on two things... Mathematics and Video Games... Great, I'm good at neither. Oh well, I at least have all the clues... I mean, it can't be too hard... Right?

1st #: Squall and Rinoa headline this epic adventure.
2nd #: The highest prime number the dial can handle.
3rd #: sqrt(#1 + #4 + #5 +#6)
4th #: Assuming the control sick as one button, the total number of pushable buttons on an N64 Controller.
5th #: (Pieces of the Triforce)!
6th #: (#1 * #4)/(#5)

...I'm never going to get this open. I give up... The only thing I can do now is lock myself away and hope that THAY don't find me. I hope that whoever finds this will remember me and what I've done if they can get into that safe. God have mercy on our souls...

File #8- Safe Combination, Top Half

To whoever finds this:

It's all over for us. Our Judgment Day is upon us. We are finally going to have to pay for our sins... But there is a glimmer of hope. I heard from Dr. Karter the other day that 16 new researchers were coming in. He used the safe in Room 001 to store the bags for each of the researchers when they come into the Inn. After all hell broke loose I pocketed the key to Room 001, and tried to get into the safe, but it is just too god damn hard! I know that there HAS to be something good in that safe. The thing is, it is a two level safe. There is a keypad and a dial. The key pad goes from 0-9, and the correct for digit number has to be entered before the dial will even begin to turn. I have no idea what the combination is either. My buddy at the Village Idiot says that only the "elite" can get passed the keypad part of the safe. And even then the dial is too difficult... All I know is that I have to try... or else I'm a goner. I hope it's not--

File #11- Note to Trent

Trent. That vial has to be here somewhere. There's no possible way it could have gotten out of the village. If we don't find it... and soon... Everything we've done will be for nothing. I can't find Trevor anywhere either... I hope he hasn't fallen to the same fate that this village has... I'm going to continue searching the mansion and the warehouse. You take the Marketplace and Hospital. "He's" almost ready... This isn't the best of circumstances to be worried about research... But everything comes down to this. If you see Trevor, tell him to head to the Mansion. The plane should be arriving soon... Maybe those researchers can help us when the time comes...

They're everywhere! Corpses walking all over the place! My God, what is going on?! I'm not going to be able to last much longer. I have to hide that vial, but where? I can't even get out of the warehouse without fearing for my life... I could take it with me into my office, but... No. Karter would look there first... All I know is that I can't let him get it... Not after hearing the rumors... Oh my God! They've broken in... Oh God why... Why...? I love you Marie... Goodbye...

File #13- Karter's Document

To Umbrella Headquarters:

T-Dragon Virus- Stage Completed: 95%

Still relatively unstable in large quantities to test subjects thus far, making it incapable of creating a Tyrant at this current time. However, subjects have exhibited a range of symptoms from the T-Dragon virus, ranging from those seen from normal T-Virus mutations, to those specific to this virus alone. One such mutation resulted in an end product of a Hunter Alpha, without the pains of splicing in extra genetic information. Combining Birkin's T-Virus with Komodo Dragon and Dragonfly DNA was by far the most brilliant research to have been perfected by the Village. And even in death William Birkin continues to be an asset to our Company. Once we have completed our research into the T-Dragon, we will send a detailed report chronically all of the mutations and research procedures ASAP. We don't want to reveal too much at this time, as we ourselves are still basking in all of the wonders brought out by this new strain. A sample of the unrefined T-Dragon virus is ready to be shipped back to you at this time, to prove the Village effectiveness. We are sure that the T-Dragon strain will become the head strain in the BOW research of Umbrella within the next few years. It's that damn good... And that's not just your best three researchers being arrogant again. Never underestimate the Unholy Trio, again. It may have taken us a while this time... But... We've done it.

File #16- Letter from Father Michael

Karter is really annoying us now. He put up a hell of a resistance when building the church, and now...well, he wants to install some computer system into the Bell Pulley system. It means we can no longer use the bells. From now on, if anyone rings the bells, a helicopter will be called in! Can you belive this, Ted? Well, I guess I'm going to allow him to install the computer thingy - But I guarantee it will be misused! And... The helicopters won't even me maned! They will be automated! They'd be programmed to land at the Inn during an emergency... Karter says that the automated helicopters are much safer, because they eliminate any and all human error... That just doesn't sound right to me...

File #17- Lurker's Diary
My Diary ~ By Annoying Lurker

17-06-04
I just got this Diary for my Birthday! I plan on using you lots to record my less than exciting life! I've been offered a premotion in Umbrella too! This looks to be a great move, cause right now my division in Umbrella (W-019 - AKA the janitorial staff) Is looking kind of...erm...not good? Ah...I'm no good at writing... so i guess I'll just make this a once a week...or month...or year...thing.

21-06-04
This is so cool! Thanks to my premotion I never have to clean up an unviable BOW ever again! YES! That means no more acidic spider blood...no more rotten flesh...no more MA-121 Claws! Plus, I now work on the same level as that cool guy Trent! Lot's of the higher ups don't like Trent...I'm guessing thats because he's so much more fun than them! Right now, Me and Him work together distributing..."paychecks"... to make sure the continued existence of Umbrella doesn't go public. Apparantley the company got busted and "shut down" a few years ago, but that's before my time...

28-06-04
Trent's acting weird...Last night I saw him on the phone to that Karter guy. I REALLY hate Karter. I only met him twice - the day he assigned me to the Janitor Squad, and the day of my premotion. He's just not a nice guy...he doesn't look like he can be trusted and I'm pretty sure he's got some secret going on between Trent and Himself...

04-07-04
Too busy...can't write...

09-07-04
Finally. I've distributed all of this years, "ahem" Paychecks, and have 2 months free leave! Of course, I would have been finished sooner, but Trent took off on the 02nd, and left me with a LOT of paperwork. Suddenly, I don't like him anymore!

13-07-04
Ok, ignore what I said before - Trent ROCKS! He bought me tickets to this European resort to make up for leaving me with that mountain of paperwork. He wouldn't say where he'd been...just that it was important...

20-07-04
I found out that my flight to the European place wont be lonely - I'm headed off there in 2 weeks time with 15 other passengers... The air liner has a weird name - Subjects Alpha...must be foreign...

27-07-04
Just making arrangments for my cat to stay at Alias' house while I'm on holiday...

03-07-04
Typical - I arrive early and the plane's late. All the others are here too. I started talking with them, well, a few of them. Aly seems pretty cool - He looks kinda like Neo from the matrix! There's also JJ McCarthy, but I'm not so sure about her...she looks like a scientist - I can tell even without the labcoat! She always has this little purple pen she twiddles in her left hand...It has a lable, but I'm never close enough to read it...looks kinda like C-VITYS...

04-07-04
I have just been to hell and back...well, I'm not back yet... The plane touched down and after about a second of seeing the resort, I pretty much vowed I'm sticking with somebody the whole time i'm here. It didn't take long to choose someone either - Aly was the obvious choice. that JJ lady took off pretty swiftly with about 5 people. Aly, Myself and the rest of the group followed about a minute later. The place is a dump! It's like...a village...really old timey...then, someone screamed. I knew immediatley it was the scientist, JJ. Aly just stood there, frozen. JJ's screams were joined by others...then, nothing. Someone started back to the plane, I was gonna join him...then I realised the plane wasn't there anymore. What the hell was going on? Aly moved, pushing my back. I fell down and heard a rough Lawnmower sound overhead...Aly fell to my right - he was missing the left side of his head.

05-07-04
I ran...for hours I ran...I must have been going in circles, but that horrifying sound didn't ever fade. The sound that took Aly's life. The Chainsaw. I didn't have much time when he attacked, He cut Aly's face by error - I was the original target. But why? and Who? I couldn't see his face, he was wearing a bag...

06-I've been holed up here in this church for 2 days now. sorry bout lack of accuracy, but little time. theyre coming.

08-07-04
Damn. Everyone. They got everyone. I'm all that's left. I saw them, the bodies. Most of the marks - the wounds, must have been post mortem...because there was no way they were alive any time those injuries were recieved. And Aly...He was missing an Arm! Why? GOD WHY!? He wasn't a threat! HE WAS MISSING HALF HIS BRAIN! I just don't understand why they cut up the bodies!? And what's worse? They arent BOWs. Theyre human.

11-07-04
Once a day that bell rings, and the all come here...I'm out of sight at the moment - got a nice ringside seat to watch the ceremony. Every day, the bell rings... but it isn't the church bell itself... It's from somewhere else... they all come in here, one is picked from the crowd, and he or she is horribly murdered by Bagman (as i've come to call him) then all the preists feast on the body...and just for future reference, the preists are BOWs, but they seem to have intelligence - Leadership abilities...I think they may be affilated with Project Nemesis...

21-07-04
Now, I'm officially terrified. I found the body of JJ, the scientist. that pen she had, it turns out, was a vial. and the label? G-VIRUS. That's not the bad news though...it's half empty...

29-07-04
I'm running low on ink, so I'll be brief. If anyone finds this, Get out now. If your here looking for family or friends, don't bother...they're dead. just like me... I'm going to make a last stand here at the church, but I will leave you with some parting gifts... Check under the third pew for a Magnum and some .357's. Oh, and the Giant Cross Drains the pool. Just insert it into

File #18- Mrs. Jones' Diary

4/13/03- Wow... This Village is so beautiful. It's so much more then I could have ever imagined! At first I didn't agree with Evan's acceptance of his new job, but this place looks like paradise on Earth. It should be a great place to raise Jim and Stacy... Umbrella is the most wonderful company in the world. I couldn't thank them enough for everything they've given us...

[Pages are missing...]

8/2/03- People are coming into the bar from the Research Center more and more often, complaining about the handling of sensitive materials... They are saying that with the way people are treating the materials in that place, they wouldn't be surprised if there was an accident sometime soon...

[Several more pages are missing...]

12/25/03- Christmas morning, and Umbrella again proves why they are the best corporation ever. They gave Evan a $25,000 bonus! Just for running the bar! I think that is wonderful! This is the best Christmas ever...

[Yep. More missing pages... It looks like someone had done this purposely... Like they had censored the diary...]

4/13/04- Oh my God! We've just been informed by the speaker system that 45 people died today at the Research Center... There had been an accident of some sort... I knew those people... I'll have to pray for their souls to safely reach heaven.

4/14/04- People from the Research Center are calling yesterday's event, 'Judgment Day'. They are also beginning to doubt what they are doing in the Center... Just what are they doing in the Center? Speaking of which, Dr. Karter ordered that the Center be closed until further notice... He really took the accident hard. He blames himself... I feel sorry for that poor man...

4/15/04- A helicopter landed today at the Karter Mansion... Dr. Karter has ordered his gate locked and guarded ever since the accident, so I couldn't get a good look at who got out. All I could see was that he was wearing sunglasses... He seemed to have had a meeting with Dr. Karter... Whatever they discussed got Dr. Karter enthusiastic again, because as soon as the helicopter left, Karter got on the speaker system and told us that the Center would be decontaminated and re-opened as soon as possible. He sure got his scientist's spirit back... I'm happy for him...

4/16/04- Another helicopter landed today at the Karter Mansion. This time I got a better look at who got out. It wasn't the man from yesterday, but instead two other scientists... Friends of Dr. Karter. Someone at the bar told me that their names were Dr. Wilder and Dr. Martin. They had come to help Dr. Karter with his research. It's good to have such reliable friends, I'm sure. Those three went straight to the Center, as it was cleared to be re-opened... That's good and all, but we can't just forget the 45 people that died earlier this week... That would be sacrilege.

4/20/04- The Center finally re-opened to all of the other workers... But I haven't seen Dr. Karter since he and his friends went into the Center about 4 Days ago... weird...

[Pages... Missing...]

8/24/04- This is horrible! There has been another accident at the Center! A virus has gotten loose in the Center, and someone from the inside got out, not knowing they had been infected... And they won't even let us leave the Village! What is going to happen to us...? Why are they calling this the 'Second Judgment'?!

8/25/04- I got bit on the ankle today by a mouse... It was pretty painful... The wound burns... and itches...

8/$6/0!- Evan's gone bar... There are still people that need drink at time like this... But people are turning... into... God, I don't know...

8/9786/gy- Jim... weird... bite me... neck...

8/ / Itchy. Tasty.

Honey, I hope you never need to use this information... but if you do, I wish you the best of luck, and I want you to know that I'll always love you. I'll no doubt be dead, and I couldn't protect you myself, so this is my last attempt to do so... In the bar, if you open the refrigerator there will be a jar of olives. Inside is the key to my gun case. Use it and protect yourself and the kids. I love you so much...

File #20- Charlie's Last Days Journal

8/25/04- It's over for me. I've accepted my fate. I couldn't get into the safe, so now my hopes of slavation are all but lost. Karter came into the Inn today, shooting down three of those zombie-like corpses on his way in. I thought he was here to save me, and get me out of here, but I was so wrong. He demanded the key to Room 001 from me... but I wouldn't give it to him. I told him that I'd let him into the Room, and he smiled at me the way he does when he wants to get on your good side, and said that would be fine. He went into the room and opened the safe... that wretched piece of machinary that takes up over half of the entire room, and removed quite a number of things from it. It seems that besides the duel-locking system to the safe, there are also compartments in the safe that only open by fingerprint analysis. Karter's fingerprint opens them all apparently, and he did a number on that safe... taking quite a few guns and clips, as well as some plastic cards... I tried to get Karter to tell me the combination, but he just laughed at me and told me to get lost. After he had fiddled with the safe, he locked it back up and left the room. I locked the room again, and Karter again told me to give him the key. I again refused and he turned against me. He pulled his gun on me! I couldn't believe what was happening before me eyes. He told me to turn around and get on my knees, and I thought he was going to shoot me in the head... But instead he pricked me on the neck with a needle. The next thing I heard was the Inn Door closing... I could feel something happening to me on the inside... But I didn't know what...

8/26/04- Something is really wrong with me... My leg muscles have tripled in size! I can jump from the bottom of the stairs all the way to the top of them... with ease! And my skin is hardening... And becoming scaly... Whatever Karter stuck me with is doing this to me... I know it! But I'm not turning into those things outside, I'm turning into something completely different... I don't know what to do... I guess I'll try the safe one last time...

[Two lines are skipped]

...I failed... That safe is just too hard. And I lost my notes on the combination, so I hope they serve someone else well. My skin is almost entirely green. I wish I knew what was happening to me... My strength has increased too. In my anger I slammed my hand into the wall behind the counter, and broke almost everything back there. I cut my arm too, and I lost a fair amount of blood. But just a few hours later, my wound healed... What am I going to do?

8/27/04- I've figured it out... I wouldn't give Karter the key... He wanted to make sure those new researchers didn't get into the safe. Their set of fingerprints was on log in there, and they each had a compartment in the safe. Karter didn't want them to get in there... I don't know why. But since I defied him... He turned me into a living bodyguard for that damn key. I have to lock myself away so I don't hurt those people... The bathroom is the safest place... I'm not taking my gun... I'm afraid of what I might do to myself with it...

I've baricaded myself in... And my body is beginning to mutate even faster now. I don't fit in my shirt or my pants anymore... I've shrunk in size... I can't even remember how to speak!! This is it. My hands are becoming to unstable to hold a pen any longer. I guess I'll do the job I was meant to do. I'll protect this key with what life I have left. This is my final order, from Dr. Karter. Instead of becoming a shambling corpse, I've become a powerful beast. At least he gave me a better way out... I just feel sorry if those researchers ever open this door... I'm sorry guys... But I have no control left of my own mind...

I hear the plane... Mind clouded... Feeling angry... Sad... Feeling Guilty... Scared... Alone... Rage...

File #21- Doctor's Memo

I've... never seen anything like this... Not in my thirty years in the medical field. I don't even believe that this is even possible! The dead are unable to rise again! It goes against everything I've ever learned in medical school! But... But I've seen it with my own eyes!! When I talked to Karter about this, he said that I would have to kill anyone who entered the hospital that even had the slightest of infections... Kill them!! I am a doctor! I am in the practice of healing, not killing... Karter even took the key to my Operating Room cabinet and stowed it away in the damned safe. I'm powerless to help anyone... My herb and spray supply is drastically low, and Karter took most of them back to his mansion, and the Research Center. You can't possibly understand the horrors of this disease... The flesh rots off of the bones, but the mind does not die. It deteriorates, but does not die! I've watched them rise... They live only to feed... On the living... On their flesh... I... don't know how to treat it. I'm a failure as a doctor... I've failed the Village. I'm so sorry... So... So... Sorry... I've been biten too, on the leg... but I'll keep on treating the wounded and infected until the very second I... turn. I hope that you all will join me in doing what we do best... Saving lives... Or at least, easing the pain...

The Village Hospital, Head Doctor Sellers ~8/23/04
Anne,

Something weird happened to me today. When I went to the Right Tower earlier, I couldn't access the basement anymore. I mean, I had the key to the elevator and everything, but when I tried to put in the password for the basement, 'Sir Spencer' it came back up as Denied... I couldn't get to our extra supplies stored down there... When I tried to talk to Dr. Karter about this, he said it must've been a computer glitch... but I don't know... The look he had on his face was one of extreme happiness... Like he was glad that I was locked out... And with the sudden increase in patients, I don't know if we'll be able to treat this influx capably... Our warehouse supplies are all but diminshed... It's horrible... Could he be hiding something down there? Why won't he talk to me anymore? Ever since those two other researchers came, Karter has been acting stranger and stranger... Could you try and find out what's going on around here, and if it's possible to get into the RT basement? Thanks...

~Dr. Mark Sellers

I got bit... I've seen what happens when you get bit! I don't want to die like that... Not like that... I don't want to become one of them... If I could've just gotten back to the well in time... Anne, I'm done for now... I'm choosing to take my own life, to save my humanity... So please, head back to the grocery store and pick up the crank... Please don't let yourself end up like me... And don't listen to Karter... He's betrayed us all... He betrayed me... He's the reason I have to take my own life... But don't cry for me... Just survive... And, Remember... You were always my favorite... ~Mark

File #25- Voice Recorder
[Karter]: Mark... What do you want? I am a very busy man...

[Mark]: Please Kris... Just tell me what's going on here... I pronounced those people dead hours ago... But now they are pounding on the ER door! How?! Why?! As head Doctor in this Hospital I think I should have the right to know what is happening around here...

[Karter]: As head Doctor of this Hospital I think you would give me more credit then that... Why do you automatically assume that I know what's going on? For all I know, it could be the flu... For all I know, you are just trying to pump me for classified information.

[Mark]: But if what Steve said is true--

[Karter]: Oh! Our fallen researcher! You'd take that mass murderers word over mine? That is a riot.

(The sound of a door opening and closing is heard)

[Trevor]: Kris... He's slowly dying... We need another vial of the T-Dragon to stabalize him. Otherwise he's going to be useless to us and 'they' won't get us out of here...

[Mark]: Wait... What?! You're abandoning the Village?

[Karter]: Mark... Must you persist in asking an endless array of obviously useless questions? Pardon me for a minute...

(Karter and Trevor's voices get lower, but from the position where the recorder was hidden, it still manages to pick up their conversation...)

[Karter]: What do you mean he's dying? He's our ultimate creation! He is the most adequate use of the T-Dragon virus to date! Who would have thought that the Nemesis Parasite could feed off of the makeups of superior viruses?

[Trevor]: That's just it... The parasite has become unstable because of the T-Dragon treatments that we've been giving it. If we don't give it the final injection, the parasite is going to die...

[Karter]: But we've used up all of the Virus infecting the Village! There isn't enough left to give him an injection! And it'll take too long to manufacture another series of the T-Dragon... It took too much effort to secure that parasite from the Umbrella compund in France... I am NOT losing it... Do you hear me Trevor? Think of something...

[Trevor]: There has to be a vial somewhere... There are two that are still unaccounted for... We just have to find them before it is too late... And I just have to ask you Kris... If the Village is completely infected... How are we going to get combat data?

[Karter]: Let's just say that our subjects will be dropping from the sky in a little over a day and half... We can easily survive in the Mansion until then... But for now, find those vials... And take Trent to the Supermarket and elimate our fallen angel...

[Trevor]: With pleasure... I just hope this all works out, Kris...

[Karter]: Don't worry... He wouldn't let me down... He was my mentor... He wouldn't abandon us like that... Not when we have so much to offer... Umbrella is useless to us now. Especially after they mocked our research and told us we were wasting our time. We'll see who's wasting their time when we bring upon the Armageddon by our very own hands...

(Trevor snickers, and then the sound of a door opening and closing is heard again... Karter's voice gets louder again...)

[Karter]: Mark... Mark... Mark... Why would I abandon all of my research here in the Village? Hmm?

[Mark]: I... don't know...

(There is a loud bang, and then a low moan is audible on the tape)

[Mark]: Oh my god! It's one of those corpses! Wait... Kris... Where are you going?! Kris! Wait! Don't lock me in here!! No! Ahhhhhhhh!

(A door slams... Screams and the sound of tearing flesh escape from the tape... After a few moments the sound of a door opening is heard again, followed by several gunshots...)

[Karter]: Enjoy what humanity you have left Mark. Because soon you will be just like him... Farewell my over zealous friend.

[Mark]: *sobs* No... Kris... Please help... Me...

(The door closes again, and the tape is filled with nothing but sobs... Then, there is silence......)

Anne... This has gone much further then we could have ever imagined. I'm beginning to believe Steve more and more as the days pass. I mean, there is no other explanation for the rising of the dead. It must be the virus that Steve told us of. I've been working with Steve to try and get into the Right Tower's Basement. He was able to pull the new code out of an encrypted database by hacking the Center's mainframe, but he couldn't figure out the encryption himself. So I've hidden the encrypted code under the plant in my office if you should ever need to find it if I... succumb to the virus at some point. Steve and I have also convinced James Jones, the Pub Owner's son, into joining the resistance. He is a computer genius, and he said that he was close to cracking the encrpytion, but that he was going to have to hide the solution in his computer, in case Karter were to search his computer. Even in this time of peril, I wouldn't put it past Kris to pull the plugs out of anyone who he thought was against him. Jim also was able to pull a file off of the Center's mainframe about 'Omega Research.' Even Steve couldn't shed light onto that for me, and the file is locked... For a gesture of good faith though, Jim gave us his keycard for the Center. He's definately one of us... Let's just hope that we can get through this before it is too late... I've got Karter coming over for an impromptu meeting later, and I'm going to try and get a confession out of him... I still hope Steve is wrong though... I can still hold faith in Kris... He's never done me wrong before... Even with the current state of the Village, I refuse to believe that Kris would do this all to us... On purpose...

File #29- Video Tape A

{The scene is the door to the Grocery Store. The camera pans over to a man wearing an Umbrella Shirt with 'Dr. Karter' on the chest. He is also wearing a flowing lab coat. Then it pans over to two men, one of which is wearing an Umbrella Shirt with 'Dr. Martin' across the chest, the other is handcuffed and gagged, held captive by Dr. Martin. The handcuffed man appears to be unconscious.}

[Karter]: Trent, Trevor you make this son of a ***** pay. He's caused enough problems for us... I thought he would have made a better scapegoat, but unfortunately I was wrong. I mean, I got him to believe that he caused Judgment Day, but instead if blaming himself like I had hoped... He instead blamed himself AND myself, and he is trying to get revenge... or something along those pathetic lines. Maybe he's trying to repent for his sin. I don't know, and I don't really care. All I know is that he has too much information that he could use against us, and although the Village may hate him now, he may still be able to sway enough people in his makeshift rebellion. The infection has done a good job of quelling the rebellion for now, but there are still quite a few people left... We simply cannot take that chance. And make this tape good. When we get out of here I want to mail this time to their parents. It will make quite the family viewing to be sure.

[Trent]: No problem Kris...

[Trevor]: Heh heh heh... He still believes that he caused the accident? Awesome...

[Karter]: To be honest, I never really wanted to do it... But 'he' told me that it was necessary to expose the parasite to an extremly large quantity of the T-Dragon virus in order to enhance it's abilities... And 'he' was right again...

[Trevor]: He? Oh... Your mentor, correct? When do we get to meet this enigmatic mentor of yours?

[Karter]: If all goes right, he's the one who's going to be getting us out of here.

[Trent]: Ten years we've worked together, and you've never told us much about him... Why is that?

[Karter]: *laughter*

[Trent]: What?

[Karter]: Let's just say that you've heard stories of him, no doubt.

[Trevor]: Interesting... But what I never understood was, how did you get Steve to take the blame?

[Karter]: I planted ideas in his head that I was going to unleash the T-Dragon into the prison. Which was only a half-lie, as I did turn the back half of the prison into a failed BOW Storage, but I never planned to release it into the regular prison sector. Trent and I even had faked phone calls, when we knew Steve would be listening. Well, Steve's heroic and upstanding nature took charge, and he tried to destory all of the T-Dragon vials. He was really destroying nothing more then sugar water. I stored the T-Dragon vials elsewhere, and when Steve felt like his job was complete, I slid a vial across the floor of Level 6, and it shattered across the table leg. I retreated back to Level 7, and when Steve turned around, he automatically assumed that he had knocked the vial off of the table. All I had to do was let Steve get out of the Center and then lock off Level 6. And there you have it... Instant Villian. Steve never knew the truth. And I want him to die not knowing the truth. So get in there, and give him the one thing he didn't want to see... His brother getting infected...

[Trevor]: So evil, yet so brilliant... That's the nature of the Unholy Trio.

[Trent]: Let's roll...

{Karter heads away from the Grocery Store, and out of the Market Place. Trevor looks into the camera and smiles, and then the camera blacks out. When the camera comes back up, Trevor is holding Steve at gunpoint, and ordering him to his knees. Trent fixes the camera on a tripod and also comes into frame, holding a gun at Steve. The handcuffed man is unconscious on the floor...}

[Trevor]: Steve Ol' Buddy, Ol' Pal... What's up? What are you trying to do to us? Trying to turn the Village against the Trio? That's Blasphemy. Heresy! Boardline Treason!

{Trevor grins that goofy ass grin of his, and unhandcuffs the man on the floor. He lowers his weapon and pulls a syringe out of his pocket. He uncaps it and places it against the unconscious man's neck.}

[Trevor]: Now isn't this lovely? A brother-brother reunion?

[Steve]: Please... Don't do this Trevor... Trent... Come on, be human...

[Trent]: Shut up, Steve. Seriously... Just shut up. Don't give us the guilt trip. Umbrella already screwed us, so we're ready to screw everyone back. Especially people who try to screw us again...

[Steve]: But you three are all acting like fools!

[Trevor]: Wrong Answer!

{Trevor jams the syringe into the man's neck, and mutation starts almost instantly. It's like a death, and a rebirth in a matter of seconds... You can clearly see the exact moments when Steve's brother stops breathing, and dies... and when the virus takes hold of his brain, and causes him to rise... Trent and Trevor take a few steps back, but stay in frame.}

[Trevor]: Wrong Answer, Indeed...

[Steve]: Nooo!

{Trevor fires his weapon into the abdomen of Steve, causing him to fall backwards off of his knees. His brother moans, and rises to his feet. The sight and smell of blood draws him towards Steve. Before Steve could do anything, his brother leans down and grabs him, biting into the flesh of Steve's abdomen. Steve cries out in pain, and pushes his brother off of him. He crawls over and reaches behind a nearby counter, pulling out a handgun. Trevor and Trent, despite their black hearts, had their heads turned from the brutality in front of them.}

[Steve]: I'm... so... sorry...

{Steve unloads 14 bullets in the span of a few seconds... Many of the shots miss, but three of them catch his brother in the head, killing him... again. Steve's hands are shaking, and he can't aim very well, but he points his gun at Trevor as he turns back to look at Steve after hearing gunshots.}

[Steve]: I'll... See you... In hell...

{And with that Steve unloads his final bullet at Trevor, the shaky aim forces the bullet into Trevor's leg, but that is enough to put him down on the ground.}

[Trevor]: Holy ****! Oh my god! You... Owww... Bastard!

{Trent runs over to Steve and pistol whips him across the temple, knocking him out... Trent then takes Steve's handgun and runs back over to Trevor.}

[Trevor]: He shot me! That SOB shot me!

[Trent]: You'll live.

[Trevor]: That's NOT the point! He SHOT me!

[Trent]: It is bleeding pretty bad... Let's go, I'll help you to the hospital, and get Karter to help bandage you up... Then we'll have to clean up this mess...

[Trevor]: Then let's go, go, GO! Just leave the tape here, and let's go, NOW! It hurts like a mother ****er!

[Trent]: Alright. Alright! Just let me turn this thing off, alr--

{The tape cuts off here, and all that is left is static...}

8/20/04- The Church has been getting hotter and hotter for the past few days... Any hotter and I think it will become unbearable... I've asked the pastor about the cause of this, but he refused to even look me in the eyes. When he opened the basement door though, I could have sworn I saw a streak of fire... But I couldn't see where it was coming from... All I know is that the Church is no longer a holy place... This is not a good sign... To place a curse upon the Village like this... I can only imagine what will happen because of this heresy. I just hope the deaths are painless and swift...

8/25/04- I knew it! I knew that God would not allow such blasphemy to continue! The Village is under attack by... SOMETHING! I've been fighting for my life, but everything is in vain... One of those bastards bit me on the foot... And there's no where left to hide safely... I tried the Church, but the heat was unbearable... I left my gun on the altar, and tried to see what was in the basement... It was dark, but every so often, a line of fire would pierce the darkness, and I could where the flames were coming from... The mouth of some sort of reptile, at least five feet tall, with a whip like tail. Needless to say, I got out of there as fast as I could... I even forgot my gun...

8/27/04- I'm holding myself up in the Right Tower... I don't know how long I have left, but... I won't give... up...

File #33- Simon's Poem

"Early Sunsets over the Village"

Late dawns and early sunsets, just like my favorite scenes...
Then holding hands and life was perfect, just like upon the screen...
And the whole time while always giving,
Counting your face among the living...
Up and down escalators; Pennies and colder fountains...
Elevators and half price sales, trapped in by all these mountains...
Running away and hiding with you,
I never thought they'd get me here...
Not knowing you changed from just one bite...
I fought them all off just to hold you close and tight...
But does anyone notice? But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts, to put this to your head...
But would anything matter, if you're already dead?
And should I be charmed now, by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger, your eyes vacant and stained,
But does anyone notice? But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts, to put this to your head...
And would anything matter, if you're already dead?
And now should I be shocked, by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger, your eyes vacant and stained,
Now you said that you loved me;
Make things harder at first...
And this world changing nothing,
Must your body remain?
And there's no room in this hell...
There's no room in the next...
And our memories defeat us,
And I'll end this to rest...
But does anyone notice? But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts, to put this to your head...
But does anything matter, if you're already dead?
Should I be shocked now, by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger, your eyes vacant and stained,
And in saying you love me,
Make things harder at first...
And this world changing nothing,
Must your body remain?
And there's no room in this hell...
There's no room in the next...
But does anyone notice,
There's a corpse in this bed...?

File #34- Karter's Poem

In the beginning, the pure holy light washes across the land in a flash of white excellence,
Leaving behind deep azure skies that glitter with an untained ethereal glow,
And flourishing lands with lush green vegetation as far as the eye can see.

But the newborn lands are soon poisoned at the hands of man, and the firey yellow sun burns viciously upon their wretched forms.
Crimson Blood stains the now tainted Earth, as the Armageddon comes at the hands of vengeful Gods;
And soon the entire world is engulfed by the pitch black shadows, overcome by the grip of the Ultimate Darkness.

And when the Ragnarok is completed and the last of the souls consumed by the shadows,
Only then shall Pandora's Box be open for the Gods to reap the bounties of their actions;
To bask in their Eternal Glory, and start their cycle once more with a new holy light.

File #37- Rosary Note

I've never seen such an unholy sight. Never in all of my life. And in a holy place of all things! You see, Dr. Karter had quarantined off the basement of the Church, saying that it had flooded during one of the rains, and that it had become unsafe. He wouldn't allow anyone to go down there, even weeks after the supposed flood. He changed the lock and kept the only key to himself. After that the Church started to become hot... Extremely hot... Like hell itself was crawling up from confines of our basement. Well, one day when Dr. Karter came to worship, I... I stole the key from his belt and hid it in the altar. It is a sin to steal, I know, but I was afraid that there were demons lurking in our most holy sanctuary. It was for the greater good, I assure you! Anyway, I stored then key away in the sacred cabinet that has no lock. I'm the only one who can open that cabinet anyway, so it was the safest place to put it. The lock on the cabinet only opens for high pitched sounds, and I don't believe Dr. Karter nor anyone else in our Village has the ability to produce the right frequency to jar the lock. The value of the artifacts in that cabinet is just too great to trust to any other kind of lock. Anyway, after everyone had gone home for the night last week, I locked the main doors, and retrieved the key from the cabinet, and went down into the basement. I thought it was hot in the main church... It was almost unbearable going down those stairs... But that all paled in comparison to the evil I laid eyes on at the base of those cement steps... Now, I know this is going to sound unbelievable, but you must believe me for I swear on the good book itself that I am giving you the truth Charlie... There was a lizard in that basement the size of a large van. I swear it! The basement is ten feet from bottom to top, and that beast filled up at least three quarters of it... And it was no ordinary lizard either! It had wings, and stood on it's hind legs... It was truly a frightening sight... The entire basement was covered in blood, and it seemed to be charred in places...

And I soon found out why, and found out the source of the Church's unnatural warmth... When that fiend spotted me, it let out a deafening roar and then spit fire at me! I had no choice but to flee for my life! I could feel the flames licking at my heels as I scrambled up the stairs. I could hardly believe that I had actually experienced such a thing! A hell spawned demon right in my very Chrurch! Defying God and all that the Church stands for! And I might be crazy, but I could have sworn that it was guarding something in the back of the basement, as it did not persue me even one step. Not a single step. And Dr. Karter had been protecting it; He went down into the basement nearly every day to "assess the damage" down there from the "flood" that took place. I fear that Dr. Karter has made a pact with the devil Charlie. He must have known that I went down there too because yesterday he came into the Church and demanded that I hand over my whistle, so I can no longer get into the cabinet to retrieve the key... This is a dark time indeed... I believe that the gates of hell are going to spring open at any moment... Our beautiful Village has been tainted by Lucifer himself. I wouldn't be surprised if the Apocalypse came and the dead walked the Earth some time soon... May the Good Lord have mercy on our Souls...

I know that this is all too much to believe, but if you take anything from this Charlie... Don't trust Dr. Karter... It will lead to your death...

Umbrella France
RE: Gamma Research

C/O: Kristopher Karter

Kris, I cannot authorize any new research into the Gamma strain of Hunters. They have been a financial disaster from the very beginning and I cannot forsee any reason that they will continue to be anything but. Despite your past successes, not even our brightest scientists could turn the Gamma project into even the slightest success. Continuing to do futile research into a strain deemed useless will not only waste more of Umbrella's money, but will also discredit your reputation as one of Umbrella's finest. Don't take this as a personal shot at yourself; Not even you could make the Gamma's useful.

[Second Page]

Cultivation of 8 Gamma subjects completed. All previous weaknesses still visible.

Versus Alpha- Fail
Versus Weaponry- 2 Shotgun Blasts or 6 Handgun Bullets

[Third Page]

Direct Infusion of T-Dragon into the Gamma Cells. Marked improvement seen almost imeadiately.

Strength Test- Maximum
Durabilty Test- Marginal
Agility Test- Marginal
Intelligence Test- Beyond what we thought was Maximum
Versus V-Act- Pass
Versus Alpha- Pass
Versus Weaponry- 3 Shotgun Blasts or 10 Handgun Bullets
Number of Subjects lost- 1

[Fourth Page]

While we have managed to prove Umbrella wrong once more, we have yet to perfect the Gamma Strain. While all of their previous weaknesses have been eradicated, one of their new strengths is it's greatest weakness. The T-Dragon has given the Gamma Strain superior intelligence, beyond what I had even thought was capable... And their new found strength is amazing. Their Durability is still a slight problem, but we can work around that. As you saw from the test with the Alpha, it may have been getting beaten badly, but with one well timed sidestep the Gamma took down the Alpha with a single blow. However, their intelligence is frightening. When we were attempting to recage the Gamma after it's victory, we sedated it for transporation. However, when the transport team made it's way to move the Gamma, it rose and slaughtered the entire six man team. It was simply 'playing dead.' Not only that, but it managed to escape the test room and would have slaughtered everyone on Class 6 if it weren't for a well placed .44 Shot from Trevor. Since we are unable to determine a way to control these enhanced Gammas, I am going to have to order that the remaining four subjects be placed in stasis and stored in one of the towers until I can devote more time to discovering a way to manipulate the genes more thoroughly, not only to protect ourselves, but to perfect this new strain of Hunter. I will be presenting this research to Umbrella, under the guise that we have created this new strain from scratch. From this point on, the enhanced Gammas will be refered to as the "Delta" strain. So, for the time being, the Delta Project will have to be put on hold, as I have recently come into a more rewarding project involving Nemesis Parasites. While the Delta Project will soon become a major facet to the Village's research, this new development with the Nemesis Parasite will surely sky rocket our favor with Umbrella ten fold. I would like to thank everyone who dedicated their time to this project. This is only further proof that the T-Dragon Virus is going to take the top spot for Umbrella in the near furture.

File #39- Patron's Diary

8/24/04- What has happened to the Village?! Everyone is killing each other for no reason! The Inn is the only safe place left! And even here you can here them banging on the windows and doors... But they won't come in themselves... It's like they're toying with us... And Charlie is acting very paranoid. More then even the rest of us... He was just handing out free room keys to the survivors, so I guess I'll just stay in Room 003 for now...

8/25/04- Steve managed to make his way into the Inn today, fighting his way past those... Dare I say... Zombies? I know he was responsible for that accident in the Center a few months ago, but seeing someone who wasn't a corpse was the greatest feeling in the world. There was only a handful of us left in the Inn, but Steve said that he knew of others that were still breathing. That made me feel somewhat better, but... I couldn't believe the rest of what Steve was telling us. He said that Dr. Karter, yes, DOCTOR Karter was the one who did this to the Village... As much as I didn't want to believe him, the words he spoke rang loud and clear... Everything he said made perfect sense... He convinced us to storm the Karter Mansion in an effort to save our lives... Wish us luck...

[Three Lines have been skipped]

We failed... Oh god how we failed... Just making our way from the Inn to the Mansion, we lost half of our group to those zombies and another three were biten. We managed to meet up with five people that had camped out in the Housing Square, but when we got to the Mansion there was only 10 of us left standing. We were simply undermaned and underarmed. Only Steve and two others had handguns, while the rest of us had striking weapons. Doctor Karter and two others stood outside the Mansion's door, taunting us. It was then that I realized that Steve had been telling us the truth... Karter didn't even try and hide it from us... He knew we were going to die too. The one with long black hair shot one of us, and then laughed... When we returned fire, they ducked inside like cowards! We tried going through that damn barb wire fence, but we couldn't get through. It was just too sturdy. And Steve said that Simon wouldn't give him the bolt cutters we needed to cut through it. That shady fool was a loyalist to Karter until the very end. We were going to do everything in our power to get into that Mansion until the inevitable happened... Those in our group that had been biten turned on us, taking out what was left of the group. Steve, myself, and one other were all that was left of the mighty resistance... Karter came out of the Mansion then and walked right up to the gate, and shot all of the zombies around us... Steve pulled the trigger on his gun, but it jammed... What foul luck. Then he smiled at us and simply wished us "Good Luck" and then walked away! I've never seen such arrogance in my life! I can't believe how bad we failed... Steve made his way back to his store and offered for me to come with him, but I came back to the Inn where I felt safer... The guy I was with though didn't make it back with me... I'm just going to go to sleep and hope I never wake up...

8/26/04- I still can't believe that we didn't even put up a fight. We failed that bad... Steve didn't come by today, so I don't even know if he's still alive... Charile is gone too. I'm all alone... Well, except for Evan next door... He's been helping the resistance since it formed... You know what? If I'm going to die, I'm going out drunk. If this is the last time I ever see this book again, let me just get this down on paper: **** You Karter. I look forward to kick your ass in hell.

Absolute Zero Grenade

Umbrella Canada, Alberta Division
Trent Wilder, Head Researcher

Using the preliminary viral data sent from "The Village," we have completed what we believe to be quite a leap in both Bio Organic and Chemical Weaponry. We have dubbed the result of this project the 'Absolute Zero Grenade' because of the incredible power of this weapon to alter the temperatures inside of the blast area. The temperature in the direct center of the blast radius has been measured at the astronomical rate of absolute zero, or below -400 degrees. Our instruments were incapable of measuring any lower, because of the sheer fact that the frost destroyed the electrical components of our instruments.

The left side of the grenade is filled with the 'T-Dragon' Virus developed by Dr. Kristopher Karter, along with a seperate Viral agent that reacts with the Liquid Nitrogen in the right side of the grenade. The right side contains Liquid Nitrogen, combined with a settling agent to prevent premature explosions. When the ends of the capsule are compressed at the same time, the center wall dissolves under the pressure, combining the two sides. The viral agent and the liquid nitrogen react, dropping the temperature inside the capsule by drastic numbers in mere seconds. The T-Dragon Virus then compounds this effect exponetially by reacting with the seperate and as of now, unnamed viral agent. This causes a byproduct of explosive gas that builds up inside the capsule. Within mere seconds, the gases create so much pressure inside the capsule that it releases an explosion of frozen viral agents. The surrounding area of about 25 feet in diameter will be infected, but that is useless due to the fact that nothing natural can survive even a second in Absolute Zero.

[On the Back]

Kris, despite the grandure of this discovery, I don't believe it would be in either of our best interests to send these results back to Umbrella HQ. They have already reprimanded me once for working outside of their guidelines, and they pulled the plug on my Liquid Nitrogen research months ago. Not only that, but they declined my request to receive a sample of the T-Dragon from you on the grounds that it was still in it's beginning stages. I thank you so much for sending me one under your own regards. It's almost like they are trying to stiffle any of my efforts to get ahead in the field. I had been literally weeks away from coming into results from my experiments with viral agents reacting with the Nitrogen, when I got the orders that my funding on this project was being cut. And I hear that they've been doing the same to Trevor in Seattle. They simply don't have the faith in us that they used to, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. I'm thinking of resigning my position here in order transfer into the Village. Going over the diagnostics of the T-Dragon sample you sent here, I don't even know where to start. It's so... perfect. Granted, it still seems to be a little rough around the edges, but I'm sure if we all work on it together, we can make it unstoppable. It's been quite a few years since the Trio has been in the same lab, and that is a few years too many. I've had my time as a Head Researcher, and in all honesty, it just isn't the same without you guys. Umbrella needs to understand the fact that we are their crutch. Without us, they are nothing. In the past 7 years, everything good to come out of Umbrella has been a result of one of our labs. That is a fact. Trevor has already told me that he would step down as the HR of Seattle to come work on the T-Dragon project. Just as I was, Trevor was amazed at the makeup of your virus. And I have already found a replacement for up here in Alberta... So it's just a matter of time for us. With the UT back together, can you just imagine what we will accomplish? Could you even dream of what we could create if we could obtain a Nemesis Parasite? I've completed all I can up here doing research on chemical and viral weaponry. The AZ Grenade I've sent you is my crowning achievement. And how ironic is it that I wasn't able to complete it without the aid of your virus? Despite us being thousands of miles away from each other, the Unholy Trio never stopped working as one.

I'll be putting in my transfer within the next few days. They'll probably make me put another three or four months in up in here in order to train my replacement properly, but then I'll be free of these Canadian Chains. Umbrella has to acknowledge the fact that we've always done better research when we've all been under the same roof. With our combined skills, there is nothing that escapes our eyes. I see no reason why Umbrella would refuse our request to transfer into the Village. From what I've heard, you're doing a mighty fine job running the place. All of the memos sent from HQ suggest that you've only produced great results so far. Here's to hoping that Umbrella doesn't start cutting your projects short too...

Keep that grenade safe. It's one of a kind. I've got all the files archived incase we ever want to start up the AZ Project again. If the grenade works this well with a rudimentary version of your virus, I can only imagine how well they'd work with the final product. Hell, with the Trio working together again, I wouldn't be surprised if we even managed to create our own virus!

File #41- Forest Experiment

[The entire first two paragraphs have been censored out with black bars, but the Section Heading was 'Lab Details']

Security:
The entrance to the cave has been sealed with a double lock that connects to the well in the middle of the forest. This measure is to ensure the safety of the test subjects inside, and to the researchers entering to and from the lab. After the escape of a specimin last week, we believe this to be the best idea to remedy that problem. Thusly, there will be two keys for entry. The two keys will be held by two separate Class Six researchers, and both must be present in order to enter the lab.

Due to the extreme nature of the testing inside, please be on alert at all times inside the cave lab. Despite having the most advanced security measures in place, accidents have been known to happen through the carelessness of some researchers.

Transports:
Transports from the Cave Lab to the Prison will begin within the next few days. Those specimins deemed unworthy of further research, or those that have been completed will be held in the Shadow and Fire wings respectively. A memo about the Prison changeover should have already been sent out, so follow the furth instructions listed there.

The Cave Lab, despite it's small size compared to the Center, has been producing great results. It is able to take the research developed at the Center, and make it come to life with hands-on tests. And with this new security in place, the Cave Lab will surely become a great asset to the Village. Dr. Karter has placed myself and Dr. Martin in charge of overseeing the Cave Lab in his absence, while he continues to maintain control of the Center. However, it is most likely that we will only stop in evry other day or so, as our research in the Center still takes top priority. Thank you, and I am looking forward to taking control of our great Cavern Lab.

File #42- Suicide Note

To Anyone Unfortunate Enough to happen across this:

The Village has become a wasteland of the walking dead. People are dying, just to come alive a few moments later to feast on their friends and families. And the worst thing of all... There is no salvation for any of us... Dr. Karter had been offering seats out of here, but then the announcements suddenly stopped. I think Dr. Karter might even be dead like the rest of the Village. I may be the only one left uninfected... The Radio in here is broken... We can hear incoming messages, but we can't send any out. We can't leave through the front gate because of the turrets, and we can't leave through the back because the cliffs are too steep. Whoever designed this place designed it to keep us in, and it is working all to well. There is no longer any hope for any of us... We are all going to die in here. That is now a very sad fact.

And to top it all off, the group of survivors in here are almost all infected. Pretty soon they too will become like the rest of those walking corpses. I couldn't just sit here and wait to be eaten... I just couldn't... If I was going to die, I was going to be the one to do it. I locked them all in the office... All fifteen of the sick. That way they would just eat amongst themselves. Then I... I will have the honor of ending my own life.

The Village was a beautiful place... I don't know what happened, and I never will... They say it was a leak from the Center, but a leak of what? And when? I mean, I may have only been a Class One Researcher, but I don't think we were dealing with anything THIS deadly in there. But then again, I guess it really doesn't matter now.

Suicide is sin, this I know... But I'm certain that not even hell could be worse then this. My only regret is that I'm dying alone, and that I never got to say goodbye to the ones I loved. If anyone finds this, please tell my family that I love them and that I gave my life in the name of research. With this last drop of ink, I say so long to this world... And hope that I may find some peace from this darkness.

File #43- Evacuation Memo

Price Family:

We have received payment for all three members of your family, and as such, you will be on the evac chopper that will be coming in tonight. Due to the extreme circumstances overrunning the Village at this time, you will have to come to the Prison in order to ensure your safety. Besides the Center, it is the most secure building in the entire Village, and it is also where the chopper will be landing.

Bring any belongings that you wish to take with you and try to make it to the Prison as soon as humanly possible. And remember, do not come into contact with any of the infected subjects, or we will have no choice but to contain you indefinitely.

Upon your arrival to the Prison, you will be placed in the "Shadow Wing" of the facility to maximize your safety until the chopper arrives. In this most trying time in the Village's history, I look forward to seeing you all soon.

I wish you all God Speed.

File #44- The Two Towers

[This looks like a portion of an Umbrella Magazine Article]

And the architecture of the "Village" is nothing short of astounding. From the elaborate underground Research Center, the fully functioning Marketplace, all the way to the stellar looking Hospital. But perhaps the most impressive feature of the Village is the Two Towers standing on opposite sides of the Airstrip.

The Two Towers are the first thing you see when landing in the Village. As you walk down the airstrip, these multi-level facilities great you on either side. Named the "Left Tower" and the "Right Tower" respectively, these twin structures really give off an aura of stability to the Village. Equidistant from the airstrip on both sides, these Towers are an exact image of one another.

Everything about these Towers mirrors each other, from form to even function. The first floors of these great stuctures welcome you into their facilities, in a brilliant display of white light and furnishings. The second floor and third floor of the two buildings are set up exactly them same. Two different office levels, representing the only differences between the Two Towers. While the two office levels in each builiding may look alike, each building serves to provide a unique purpose. The Left Tower monitors all incoming and outgoing flights in the Village. Everything from passenger flights to supply shipments runs through the Left Tower. The Right Tower on the other hand works on the administrative issues of the Village. Things such as the ordering and distribution of supplies needed for the Marketplace, Inn, Hospital, and Pub are taken care of in the Right Tower. Cosmetically though, these two floors look exactly the same in both towers. The fourth floor in each building is the security floor monitoring the outer fence of the Village. Primary and secondary defenses are controlled from there, including the gun turrets mounted on each tower. Finally, the roof of each tower serves as a helipad for any shipments that might be coming through.

The security in each tower also mimics one another. Neither tower has any stairwells, and the only way from floor to floor is through the use of a security elevator. The elevators only work with the insertion of a security key given to Tower personal only. Also, the basement of each tower, used primarily for storage, is password protected. A beautiful addition to these wonderful twin structures.

The Two Towers, along with the rest of the Village, are a masterpiece of art coming together perfectly to make quite possibly the most aesthetically beautiful Umbrella Facility in the entire world. Here's to hoping that the Village will become a top producer in the Europe Division.

File #45- Hospital Clipboard

[It looks like a sign-in sheet, but it is splattered with blood, much like the rest of the Hospital was.]

8/24- James Jones
8/24-Martin Wallace

[Blood Spatter covers most of the rest, but there is something written on the back]

Anyone who finds this, heed this warning. No where in the Village is safe. No where. Not even this Hospital... The only place I can think that would even be remotely safe any more is the network of underground tunnels that criss-cross the southeastern part of the Village. I once overheard Dr. Karter chatting with a researcher about these tunnels that are used to transport "shipments" between the Prison and somewhere else... I think he mentioned something about a cave, but I'm uncertain. However, I've recently found out about an emergency access route to these tunnels in the graveyard. I don't know exactly where, but I could use as many people as possible to help me find it. If we could just get underground, we might be able to wait this thing out. Please... If there is anyone left alive, this may be our only chance left.
