More than 50 years of his life, he spent spreading the message of yoga and natural living amongst people . He was born in 1908 in Kuttipuzha near Alwaye in the state of Kerala, India. After graduating from the Rangoon Homeopathic College, he joined Reuters News Agency in 1937 as editorial assistant. During the second world war , when the Japanese invaded Burma ( present day Mayanmar ) , he returned to India on foot ( 1942) . Following this, he worked with Reuters at Bombay and Delhi. After the independence of India, he worked with Press Trust of India (PTI) at Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Kottayam, as Reporter, Editor and Bureau Chief. Retired in 1966. He was interested in Yogavidya and Naturopathy from his early childhood. Meeting an unknown Yogi under a Baniyan tree at the age of sixteen, was a turning point in his life. Having imbibed the eternal truth of Yogic Science , he transformed it into a life long experience. He researched these subjects for more than 60 years and wrote many books - notably "Yogavidya", "Aarogyavum Deerghayussum", "Hatapradeepika" (Translation from Sanskrit) , "Yoga Prakrithi Chikitsa", "Yogapaatavali", "Yogavyayamam" and "Yogabhyasa Pariseelana Padhathiyum Suryanamaskaravum". All books are in Malayalam language and are available from www.dcbooks.com "Yogavidya" was also the largest selling Malayalam book for two consecutive years. Malayalam language is spoken by more than 30 million people. Having experienced the benefits of the yogic science himself, Yogacharya dedicated his life to share the knowledge of this wealth with any one who wanted to acquire them. This web site is an attempt to continue his passion to share this great science of Nature with every one, free of cost. Any write up on yoga will be incomplete if it excludes the name of Yogacharya He breathed for yoga, spoke of yoga and dreamt of a
future progeny established in yoga. The previous night of his samdhi , he
called all those around him and advised as his last word "find time to
practise yoga daily as you find time for daily bath". OTHER LINKS
