Mija is excited to announce a lovely litter, whelped on November 29, 1998. These little red and white tigers are sired by Ch. Nyota's Chariot of Fire out of Mija Cross Country First Class.
The four boys and one girl are shown above as they emerge from the Mija Family Christmas tree jungle. As is the case with most four week old puppies they are full of energy and into everything. Just seconds after this picture was taken they were off in five different directions, ripping into Christmas gifts, upsetting potted plants, burrowing under the sofa, and pulling on Grandmother's afghan. Needless to say, the photo session was cut short. The little lady in this litter will be staying at Mija Basenjis while two of the boys will be heading to new show homes. One of those boys has received his traveling visa and will be on the road with Cross Country Basenjis in early March. Watch for his show debut in Washington state this summer.
