Ralph Richardson was considered by many to be one of the greatest actors of the English stage. In addition, he was in many classic films spanning many decades. He was knighted in 1947 by King George VII, during which time he, along with Laurence Olivier and John Burrell, ran the classic Old Vic theatre group in London. He is best remembered for his stage roles as Falstaff, Cyrano de Bergerac, Peer Gynt, Timon of Athens, Jack in David Storey's Home, and Hirst in Harold Pintor's No Man's Land. He is also remembered for his parts in the films The Heiress, Long Day's Journey into Night, The Four Feathers, The Citadel, The Fallen Idol and many others. Listed below is his filmography. Clicking on underlined movie titles will lead you to a film review page and other information. I still have many things to add to this page. Eventually I am hoping to add a biography, photos, information on his stage career, reviews of books about Sir Ralph, more movie reviews, and other things of this nature.

Ralph Richardson: An Actor's Life

This is an interesting and informative biography of the great actor Sir Ralph Richardson. Includes some black and white photos.

This is a wonderfully acted out recording of Edmond Rostand's classic play Cyrano de Bergerac starring Sir Ralph Richardson. Richarson is perfect as the poetic swashbuckler who dies with panache. Highly recommended.

Search for Ralph Richardson at eBay. Among the things that can sometimes be found there are: videos and DVDs of Richardson's movies (occasionally rare ones), books, magazines, memorabilia, autographs, photographs, etc.
