Darts

Buy a decent dart gun, you want one that will last more than ten minutes. Take it into the classroom. Draw a target on the board, I usually use four concentric rings. Mark the rings with any number that comes to mind. You are ready to go.

This game can be used with either teams or individuals. When the student performs the language item correctly they get to shoot the target. The number is then added to their score. This is a good game for practicing numbers because at the end of the game the students must add up their scores.

Another variation is to draw ten, six to eight centimeter circles on the board, half in one color and half in another (asuming that there two teams). The students then try to shoot the other teams circles. If they succeed they win the circle and you redraw it in the new color. If they shoot their own circle the circle is erased from the board. To play this game with individual students give each student their own circle and write their name in it. The object of this game is to shoot your classmates circles and make them yours. The winner is the student who has the most circles at the end of the game.
