He riseth from supper,

After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. (John 13:5 KJV)

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? (John 13:6 KJV)

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. (John 13:7 KJV)

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. (John 13:8 KJV)

Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. (John 13:9 KJV)

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. (John 13:10 KJV)

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane,

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. (Mat 26:37 KJV)

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. (Mat 26:38 KJV)

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. (Mat 26:39 KJV)

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? (Mat 26:40 KJV)
