There’s a place where I go to pray, I try to go visit there every day. My peaceful garden underneath the oak trees, All the beautiful flowers are there to please. That’s where I feel God’s presence best, My mind and body go there to rest. I hear his voice in the blowing wind, I feel the comfort only He could send. I look around the garden and all I see, Is God’s lovely works all before me! I am in awe, how such beauty could be done, The creation of this place made by only one. As I sit quietly listening to the water flow, God always tells me what I need to know. He gently whispers “Trust in me”, “Let me in your heart, you will see.” I walk away with my soul anew! A serene contentment I feel too. He speaks to me whenever I let Him in, When I go back to my peaceful garden again! Author: Susan T. Fisher June 16, 1999
