Patience is something that has to be learned. It's something that is acquired through time, not earned. There are different kinds of patience, this is true, Just as people are special, having patience is too. With children patience has to go a long way, From sun up till bed, lasting all the day! Teaching children patience is so difficult, 'Cause they learn from the one who is supposed to be an adult. Our older family members require a lot, Especially when they argue and say they are not! They can complain and moan all the day through, But whom do they depend on for patience? You! Our spouses might have tempers that flare, But when things get rough, who is always there? The one with the patience to see things through, Without some patience, just what would we do? Animals and birds need a little patience too, Without their companionship, we would be blue. They help us emotionally more than we know, So a little love and patience we should show. Our emotions play a lot in the scheme of things, But patience is one thing that always brings, A quiet understanding of what's to be done, A settlement and ending where everyone has won!
