Stef and my trip to Cincinatti to see Dogstar live
We left really late. Like really really late. We sped all the way to my friend's house, threw her in the car ( while her parents looked concerningly watching their baby girl drive off with some 21 year old sister  of their daughter's friend) and then sped some more. We sped by a cop, and we just knew he would turn around and come after us. And of course he did. We pleaded with him we need to get to a concert in Cincinatti, so with alot of my sister's charm and some tears from me and my friend Stef's part, we managed to sneak by with a warning. So off we went, cautiously increasing speed. We went through a never ending detour and then had to drive even more wrecklessly there. We thought all hope was lost, but my sister insisted she would get us there on time, or at least before the warm up band ended.
So we got there about 15 minutes late, no big worry. But we couldn't beleive where the concert was held! We thought it would be a big dome of a building or something, only to find ou the concert was being held in a night club. We began to see the upside of this, the stage was so close you could practically touch the band! So we made our way to the Stage left, all the way to the front. We endured the warm up band, which seemed very loud at first until your ears started to adjust and numb to the blaring noises. Finally the band was done, so we waited impatiently for another 15 minutes while Dogstar stuff was being set up. Finally they came up, and everyone went hysterical. They started off with Alarming, the music in tune and Keanu looking very hot. Bret and Keanu looked like they hadn't shaved for a while, but Rob looked well groomed. We jumped up and down and sang along, it was great! But we were very disapointed to find ourselves on Bret's side, not Keanu's. So midway through the concert, we pushed our way to Keanu and started screaming and waving to get his attention. He is surprisingly shy onstage, which must be tough because everyt little movement he did, raking through his hair or just looking up got a chorus of shreiks and screams. Seeing that screaming wasn't going to get his attention, I looked for something to throw. Not actually hit him, just in front of him. So I picked out two sticks of gum from my pocket and chucked it across the stage. He didn't see it flying through the air, but did notice it sliding across the stage ground. I heard some other girl threw a sock. I would have thrown a sock but I went sockless.
They played a few new songs, like I Confess and Flowers, and American ( which went well with Keanu's american flag bass) I don't know the other ones, but they all sounded nice. I didn't hear too much of the lyrics-I was standing right next to the speaker and it was basically drum and bass! After that we went and bought some stuff  (tshirts and underwear heheh) . We weren't smart enough to stick around after but now we know for the next concert!

For you that look into a Dogstar concert but want to know about how the concert will be:
There wasn't very many people there. Maybe 400? It was a smaller one, but I hear most of them are very up close and personal

There is a good chance if you hang around after the concert you can meet the band

The tickets were only 14$

The people there are pretty mellow and very friendly, you don't have to worry about people being psycho and attaching  you or anything

They are just REALLY FUN!
