| While walking in a supermarket, Keanu noticed a man wearing a hockey jersey. It's a custom being a goalie, to ask if their team needs a goalie, so Keanu walked up to Rob and asked him. They started talking and hit it off, becoming fast friends. Soon later Keanu would go to Rob's place and they would jam, Keanu on bass, and Robert on keyboard. Rob invited his friend over, and the threesome would jam loudly to the early hours of morning, playing stuff from the Grateful dead and weird things like that. So a year or two later, they met up with Bret, who had been trying to make it as a musician since he was a kid, but was recently playing as a backup guitar for Sheryl Crow in 1994. The band started playing in small clubs and late night gigs, and slowly but surely started making their own songs which many people have come to know and love. |
