"MY NEW COLLECTION: FOREVER YOUNG 2001"

jika sesuatu yang sudah anda harap-harapkan datang, bagaimana perasaan anda ??
ya, cd single 'forever young 2001' (fy2001) special fan edition, cd gratis yang dibagikan khusus
untuk para fans di seluruh dunia, akhirnya nongol juga !! ( thanx mr. postman !! )

awalnya memang proyek ini sedikit unik. alphaville ingin menuliskan nama-nama para fans di booklet
cd single tersebut, para fans tinggal mengirimkan nama saja.
cd single ini ditawarkan terbatas, dan tentu saja kita harus pesan dulu lewat internet.
tetapi kemudian 'kebijaksanaan' diubah, bagi para pengirim nama akan mendapatkan cd itu
secara gratis, cuma harus menanggung ongkos kirim saja sebesar $5.00 (ini buat yang di luar eropa).
wow, tentu saja semua orang mau..

cd ini berisi tiga track lagu forever young (2 remix, 1 original demo)--semuanya bagus-bagus, yang jadi perhatian
adalah track 3 (demo version) yang punya lirik berbeda--plus satu track ucapan terima kasih
untuk fans dari bernhard lloyd, plus lagi satu program software untuk remix atau apalah, aku belum pernah coba
sampai sekarang. booklet cd ini memuat ratusan nama para penggemar, termasuk namaku, serta tanda tangan
dari kedua anggota band alphaville. cd ini tidak akan aku jual sampai kapan pun.
misalnya ada yang berminat, mungkin akan kulepas kalau dihargai lebih dari $10,000, hehehe...

01.25 a.m. 26 november 2001

... somebody rang the bell, and my dad rushed to open the door. from the living room i gave a look,
it turned out to be a postman, holding a transparent plastic bag. he said, "for mr. dewantara,
from germany". at once, everyone heard a long shriek full of joy comin' out from my mouth ...
... it'd been through customs inspection and i had to pay the custom, but i just didn't care how much ...
... i tore open the wrapping envelope, opened the cd case, and showed to my family the booklet
where my name is eternally engraved. i was sure they were astonished, but curious ...

... around 2 months earlier, i'd posted a mail, with a US$5 enclosed as advised, to neuhagen.
i was afraid my mail going astray and probably wouldn't make it to germany.
lucky me, one week later i received a notification stating my cd was ready to be shipped.
eventually, it took one and a half more month as you know ...
