I love Good Charlotte because not only is their music inspirational to me, but they were the first "real" music I had heard in a while. I'm not saying that other bands aren't real, I'm saying that I was basically absorbed in a whole pop world where the lyrics were superficial, just like the people. I just bought GC's CD this summer, and I'm kicking myself for not buying it when I first heard of them. After just listening to them once, I was hooked, and got into music I would have never dreamed of listening to even a year ago. Listening to them helps me through times when I'm pissed, and cheers me up even more when I'm not. They're just a great band, no matter what.

GC has done so much for me in the past two years. I don't know where I'd be without them. They are one of the best bands out there. Their music might be too poppy for the punx, and too punk for the boppers, but they will always be awesome to me. They've always been nice to me and they always seem interested in their fans. Their music, wow, that's really all I can say. I love them because their music connects with their fans, they're not singing some 'Oh baby baby' lyric or 'I'm gonna knock your f-cking head off' song. They're about real things that happen to real people and they're not ashamed to say it. They appreciate their fans, and instead of staying on their tour bus and being assholes, they come out after their shows and hang out with us and it means the world to me, and every one else. Sure they may be #1 on TRL, but that doesn't matter to me anymore. They can sell 10 records or 10 million records. It won't change my views on them. No matter how old I get, I'll always love GC. Nothing can change that. To Billy, Paul, Joel, and Benji... thanks. :)

I love GC because they are a cool band that sing about things I can relate to. I don't care about how hott they are, I just care about the music. All the guys in the band seem really cool.

Hmm... why I love GC... that's a hard question, because there are so many freaking reasons why I heart them! Haha, yeah they are just great. You can be having a really sucky day and then go home and put on their CD and you just feel good and want to jump around! Like emo is great and all, but sometimes you just need something that is kinda feel-good and that you can relate to. And they have so much energy and are such great performers, they really get you into it. Yeah this is a really bad paragraph, but yeah that's why I love them, they kick ass.

Why do I like Good Charlotte? A question I've actually been asked many times by all those "TRUE PUNKS". I like GC for a million reasons. I like that they play and write their own music, unlike many "bands" out there today. They also don't give a shit about what people have to say about them. They are who they want to be. I'm sick of all the people who say they are "sellouts" because they are on TRL. If that's what they want, all I have to say is "Congratulations". They are also all awesome guys. Each time I have met them they have always been the coolest bunch of guys I have ever met. A lot of bands these days are not the nicest people, but GC is still all about the fans and that just makes them rad in my eyes. But most of all, I love them because I can relate to their songs. They all have so much meaning and have helped not only me, but also my friends in ways that I can't express. When I'm in a bad mood, I put in my GC CD. When I'm happy and I wanna hear something good, I put in GC. No matter what mood, I can always relate to the songs in so many ways and they just help me through my day. I like GC because, "Good Charlotte brightens my day".
