CANDLE MAGIC

Candles have been used for many years for a variety of purposes including MAGIC!
Why are candles used for 'magickal purposes' you ask?
Well, if you think about it the reasons are quite clear.
Candles absorb personal power, there are a variety of colors and
colors are related to specific magickal energies (see list below)
and when lit they release this energy over time.
The candle itself represents the element of Earth when lit with fire
the liquid wax represents the element of Water and the smoke the
element of Air. This whole process represents a further reason that
candles are an accepted part of magick.
Magickal workers chose their candles by color for their specific
needs. Below I have included a basic list of candle colors and
their associated magickal purposes:

CANDLE COLORS

Red= Passion, sex, strength, courage, physical energy
protection, and defensive magic. The color of
the element of Fire.

Pink= Emotional and love, compassion, and friendship.

Yellow= Intellect, divinity, confidence, travel,eloquence,
and communication. The color of the element of Air.

Green= Prosperity, fertility, employment, and healing
The color of the element of Earth.

Blue= Healing, peace, happiness, patience and psychism.
The color of the element of Water.

Purple= Spiritual, power, meditation, and healing sever diseases.

White= Protection and purification "an all purpose color"
for it is linked with the Moon."

Orange= Attraction and energy.

Black= To Banish negativity, absorbing negativity.

I lastly want to mention my three personal rules when using candle
magick:

1)Never leave a burning candle unattended for long periods (for obvious reasons)
2)One Candle per Spell: say if you are using a green candle for money and you have half left do you recharge it and burn it for fertility; NOPE
Let your candles burn out for one purpose only.
3)Last but not least:"Extinguishing the Candle:"by blowing out the candle you may disperse some of the energies you put into it and is seen as an insult to the element of Fire. Using a candle snuffer of pinching it out with your wet fingers is more appropriate.
