Motivation As you know, Wutai was once a powerful country, full of rich materia. But they've lost it all after the war. Everyone notices this..but they do nothing..Not even Yuffie's father, the head-chongo, the one who runs Wutai, president, chief, or whatever you want to call it. Yuffie pities him...So she takes matters into her own hands. She vows to regain Wutai's pride, by stealing materia. Materia was what made Wutai a powerful country, so she shall steal much of it. Conclusion So you see, Yuffie isn't a bad girl. Shes just doing whatever she can for her hometown. Wouldn't you? She was born and raised there, and she has watched how her once powerful country, turned into a tourist trap for entertainment and recreation. Yuffie steals for a good reason not for a bad one. Stealing can be good in some cases? Such as black and white. Theres might be good in black, and might be bad in white. Thats were gray comes in. Gray is the balance between good and bad(black=bad, white=good, gray=nuetral). In summary, Yuffie isn't stealing because she is bad, but because she wants to do something good. |
