Risk

This is their latest release Risk. It features new drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-Suicidal Tendencies). I think this is the most commercial album yet from deth. I was expecting this since they were becoming slower and less heavier with each album. Now don't get me wrong the album is still good but not as good as the others. My favorite songs on the album are: Prince of Darkness, Crush'em, and Time: The End. You'll notice that those three songs are the heaviest. If you like Cryptic Writings you'll like this one but again it's less heavy. With their ongoing world tour Megadeth are still atop the Heavy Metal world with the likes of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne,  and Iron Maiden.

So Far,So Good,So What!

This was my first deth album. I had heard the name on Muchmusic (same as MTV but Canadian), they were talking about the new release: So Far, So Good, So What!. I thought it was a cool name so I decided to buy it. It was my first metal album. First time I heard it I thought it was demented and didn't like it very much. After a few listens the first song I liked was Anarchy in the UK, that openned the doors to the other songs. In My Darkest Hour, 502, and Hook in Mouth quickly became my favorite songs from this album, and still are today. This album has a raw 80's feel to it and is heavy as heavy metal could be in '87. Guitars are loud and dominate the album while the bass is somewhat lost behind them. This album kicks ass royally and is one if not the best album of Megadeth. I remember not too long ago when I first got a cd player in my car, I put this cd in it. After a while 502 hit the speakers. Whitout noticing (I was too much into the song) my foot kept pushing down on the gas pedal. When I realized this it was too late. I got caught on radar at 78 m/hr in a 55 zone!!!
