Basically, the DRNG is a following of the Church of the Random Number God. It is his belief that, since the RNG controls all, he cannot fail in destroying Diablo if he follows its will.
He will use any 'special gifts' the RNG leaves him, such as Rags of the Ages from Lazarus, and will never sell a book dropped by an important boss (Laz, Leo, Butch, or Laz's helpers), instead saving it for future reading.
He will touch any shrine he comes across, be it Goat Shrine, Cauldron, Sacred(Ornate/Fascinating), or benevolent, because the RNG would surely not place such a thing there without reason.
