Introduction

During the days when Diablo was resurrecting skeletons for his evil ways, a hero was in the dungeon when he came upon a room full of dead members of the Vizjerei. He decided to resurrect them in the light of good instead of evil. All of the priests woke up from their long sleep crazy. They couldn't remember anything. They were lost! They chased the hero out and started a killing rampage in the dungeon, killing all monsters there. Then they found a book explaining the events of before. They finally realized what had happened, and start on their trek for good...

Items

Armor, Helms, Weapons
Anything without a strength requirement may be used as these skeletons are weaker then the ones in the dungeon becuase their power focuses on knowledge - not strength.

Jewelry
Only one item may be on the same arm. If you use a one-handed weapon, you cannot use a ring on that arm. Thus...
If you use a ring, you cannot use a one-handed weapon on that arm.
If you use a two-handed weapon, you cannot use rings.

If you wear a helm, an amulet may not be worn.
If you wear an amulet, a helm may not be worn.

Enchantments
Some enchantments are restricted until after certain quests, though some a banned altogether.

No Resist Lightning, Fire, or All
No +Strength or +All
No +Spell Levels
No +Light Radius

Uniques
Any unique without a Strength requirement, adds to Strength, adds to +All, Resists lightning/fire/all, raises spell level, or +light.

Naj was your teacher, and although you understand why he was harsh to you, it doesn't mean you like him. No Naj items.

Some more uniques are allowed after quests.

Spells

Charged Bolt, Mana Shield, any general magic (Stone Curse, Telekenesis, etc.), and Guardian is allowed. Others are allowed with quests.

Fireball, apocalypse, nova, and elemental may never be used.

Holy Bolt
Although these undead are on a quest for good, holy bolt still harms them. No Holy Bolt. If a Holy Bolt flies through you from a partner, you go berzerk! You drop your items (or tuck them away neatly in your inventory) and go on a killing rampage until a partner casts Resurrect on you (while you're "alive"), kills you, or you die.

Quests

1) The Awakening (Not optional)
Occuring at clvl 1, this is when you awaken from your long sleep! Buy whatever you want from town, then go down into the dungeon and run around until you find a sarcophagus that doesn't have a skeleton in it. You cannot kill monsters until you find your sarcophagus!

Once you've emerged from your sarcophagus you may start killing with only your staff and charged bolt. You go around wantonly killing everything. You remember nothing from before.

Once you find a book (from bookshelf or a skeleton tome), read it. You then remember everything from before and start on your quest for good.

Rewards
Learning Firebolt, Charged Bolt, General Magic, and Guardian is unrestricted.

2) The Quest of Fire
You can become a burning dead! As soon as you find a book of Fire Wall and are at least character level 8, you may attempt this quest. If this quest is done, you may not do the Quest of Horror.

Read the book of Fire Wall, then go down to level 3 and strip down to your bare bones. Proceed to look for King Leoric. You may ONLY use Fire Wall, Fire Bolt, and Guardian (if you ran into it yet) on this whole level! Once you find and kill Leoric and his band, cast a Fire Wall over his body and die in it. Resurrect in town.

Rewards
You become a Burning Dead! Fire Wall allowed up to level 5, Inferno becomes unrestricted, Fire resistance is allowed, and Flame Wave up to level 1 is allowed.

3) Quest of Tide
Only Burning Dead may do this quest.

When you are at least level 14 and have found a Flame Wave book, go down to level 9. Read the book and kill a boss on level 9. Only fire spells may be used to kill this enemy. Claim the enemy's treasure. Take the treasure and go to a lava pool area with a thin pathway between each side of the lava. Using only fire spells, clear the area. Throw the treasure onto the path, then cast Flame Wave several times over the lava and the treasure so it starts waves of lava. The lava then engulfs the tresure. Cast a Fire Wall over the treasure and die in it.

Rewards
Flame Wave up to level 5, and Fire Wall up to level 10.

4) The Quest of Horror
You can become a Horror! As soon as you find a book of Lightning and you are at least level 8, you may attempt this quest. If this quest is done, you may not do the Quest of Fire.

Read the book of Lightning, then go down to lvl 3 and strip naked except a staff. Proceed to look for King Leoric. You may ONLY use Charged Bolt and Lightning on this whole level! You may also whack stuff with your staff. Once you find and kill Leoric and his band, you must run around TOTALLY naked so that many monsters are around you! You are so overcome with horror by the mob that when you die and resurrect in town.

Rewards
You become a Horror! Lightning is allowed up to level 10, Lightning resistance is allowed, and Chain Lightning is allowed up to level 1.

5) The Quest of Links
Only Horrors may do this quest.

When you are at least level 14, and have found a Chain Lightning book, go down to lvl 9. Read the book. Using only Lightning spells, kill a boss on level 9. Then claim the enemy's treasure. Take the treasure to Cain, he will say it is cursed and that you must be rid of! Go down and find the remaining "boss light" (the boss monster's light radius) of the slain boss on level 9 and throw the item into the light. Cast Chain Lightning until all your mana is gone, and then run into a pack of monsters to die.

Rewards
Lightning is unrestricted by spell level, and Chain Lightning up to level 5.

6) The Quest of Treason
This quest may be done by both Burning Dead and Horros.

Upon reaching at least character level 17, and when you know Guardian, you must go slay Lazarus. Using only the spells of your skeleton type to do this.

After Lazarus and his cronies are slain, go to town and identify the items. Bring them back down and place them on the reamaining boss lights. Summon Guardians around the three boss lights, and place two at the entrance so that no one may enter the vile room of the traitor!

Rewards for Burning Dead
Fire Wall is unrestricted by spell level, and Flame Wave up to level 10.

Reward for Horrors
Chain Lightning up to level 12.

6) The Quest of Destruction
Upon reaching at least character level 17, and when you know Guardian, you must find and slay Sir Gorash. Use only the spells of your skeleton type to do so.

Once Gorash is dead, identify his item and then throw it on his boss light. Summon Guardians around his boss light to prevent future people from going there. Now you must slay Diablo! Release him and destroy him.

Reward for Burning Dead
Flame Wave is unrestricted by spell level.

Reward for Horrors
Chain Lightning is unrestricted by spell level.
