If you are reading this, you have already found the new official home of SCURK MOUNTAIN at SCURK.COM Just like the release of new car models, the 2000 model year for SCURK MOUNTAIN is ready for release in Sept 1999. The past 4 1/2 years have brought many changes to SCURK MOUNTAIN .

A few might recall that at the beginning of the summer, when the long awaited 'BAT' program was released, I predicted that there would be a lull in activity for a few month's while people found that 'BAT' was even more disappointing than the SC3000 had been, and that it would be likely that there would be a new interest in SCURK this fall. That prediction seems to be very close to what is happening with SCURK, thanks to some of the old-time Scurkers and many newcomers alike.

As a dedication to those who have been loyal to SCURK and to the SCURK MOUNTAIN pages as well, I decided that a completely new rewrite and reincarnation of SCURK MOUNTAIN would be appropriate. With that in mind, I obtained the rights to the SCURK.COM domain. I did this as sort of declaration that I believe interest in SCURK will be around for a long time. While my attempts to establish an all new home for SCURK MOUNTAIN has ran into more than a few snags, it is with some pleasure and a great deal of relief that this, the newest version of SCURK MOUNTAIN is officially open. Over the years there have been several minor name changes, and many different designs have been the most visible of the changes made to SCURK MOUNTAIN over the years. But as a result of all these little changes there have been several success stories. This site developed to include the ever growing SCURK LIBRARY which contains the largest selection of SCURK images on the Web, now numbering nearly 2000 .gif images.

For about 3 years the fans of SimCity 2000 have carefully chosen the best of the images ever produced for SimCity 2000 and those images are now a part of the SCURK HALL OF FAME .

It has always been my policy to try to maintain one of the best and most up to date SCURK LINKS LISTS available. With all the SimCity/SCURK sites that are starting and quitting almost on a daily basic, it has become very important to find links lists you can count on, and it is hoped I can continue to meet the challenge.

It is no secret that I have been very disappointed with SimCity 3000 and the BAT programs that was released this summer. I had already developed limited coverage of the game that should be a valuable resource for the beginners to the game in a separate page called SimCity 3000 BAT CAVE , but I have no plans to expand the SC3000 coverage.. Clicking on the new SPECIAL FEATURES link at the left of the page will soon take you to an entirely new SCURK page called SCURK SHOWCASE, which will be a constantly changing, but relatively small SCURK oriented Web Site. It is intended that the SCURK SHOWCASE will become your favorite place to check what is happening in the SCURK WORLD.
