SCURK HALL OF FAME

HOME PAGE

Thanks for your patience concerning the delay in the Jan 1 voting. It turned out my service interruptions were not that much worse than normal, but I thought it best to be safe. The current months ballot appears below, the month will be a little short, so do not forget to vote soon. Deadline will be Midnight Jan 31, 2000, EST.

NOTE:Congratulations to David Cavers. who produced this month's Hall of Fame Winner. The image not only recieve the most total votes, but actually appeared on well over 1/2 of all ballots recieved. Such a sweep has only occured on a couple of other occations, and in my opinion this image is deserving of the distintion. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Welcome to the
SCURK HALL OF FAME
For over 3 years, I have been asking those who shared an interest in the SimCity 2000 Urban Renewal Kit (SCURK), to help to chose the best SCURK images ever produced for induction to the SCURK HALL OF FAME. The response has been great, and through the efforts of the many of you who have taken part by producing great images, submitting images for consideration on the monthly ballots, and most importantly remembering to vote in the almost monthly elections, we have picked as December 1999, 44 images out the thousands that have been produced to be honored in the SCURK HALL OF FAME. Thanks go out to all that have participated in any way to this effort. In spite of those who though the interest in SCURK, would die when SimCity 3000 and it’s BAT program were released, it has become apparent to some of us, that SimCity 2000, and especially the SCURK program offered more opportunity for us to express our artistic and creative abilities that the new programs could ever hope to do. YES, SCURK and the SCURK Hall of Fame are alive and well. New people, those new to the game of SimCity 2000, are appearing on a regular basis, and are beginning to produce the quality of images we had come to expect in the past.. Some of the old timers are also returning to this wonderful activity, where all can continue to participate in the MAGIC OF SCURK.

SCURK HALL OF FAME ORGANIZATION PLAN

The new look at the hall of fame is just that. The organization of the HOF is the same you have come to expect. Once at the Hall of fame, use the Menu at the bottom of the page to negotiate within the site. To return to the other main parts of SCURK MOUNTAIN, use the main menu at the left which is the same throughout the entire SCURK MOUNTAIN web site.

THE LEE SOJOT HALL OF FAME BUILDING

The building above is dedicated to Lee Sojot, who has made major contributions to the SCURK Hobby. While Lee has produced relatively few SCURK images, the quality of those images set what was in effect a new standard of excel lance for all. His attention to scale, angles and details, have led many of today's SCURK artists to an attitude of almost never being satisfied that the work is good enough. Find out more about Lee and his work by following the links from the Exhibition Hall page, to a description and presentation of each of his award winners. Make special effort to try the links to his own Web Page, where all his work is presented. I made the Lee Sojot Hall of Fame Building, by using elements from several of Lee's buildings, along with key elements from a few other artist.
