Attendance

You are expected to attend every class and be on time, prepared to participate. There is no such thing as an excused absence, because what goes on in class cannot be duplicated or made up. If you do miss class, you are responsible for any material assigned or collected in class. It is neither expected nor appropriate for you to justify your absences.  When you arrive late to class, you distract and disrupt your classmates and instructor. Any tardiness will result in an automatic 20 point reduction per incident from your total point accumulation.

Homework/Projects

All assignments are due at the beginning of the class period on the day the assignment is due. Assignments presented the next class meeting date after they are due will receive a penalty of 20 points reduction off their total number of points. Assignments will absolutely not be accepted after the one week penalty date. All work should be your own. Assignments turned in which are duplicates will be returned to the students and no points will be given for the assignments for either student. Do your own work.

Participation

Your participation grade includes your willingness to participate in class discussion as well as your paying attention during class. Talking with others, surfing the Internet, sending/reading e-mail, and broadcasting messages are not acceptable practices during class lectures and discussion and will result in a reduction in our grade accordingly.
