Well, if you're Jewish, then you were probably celebrating Passover like the
rest of my Simpson buddies. If you are Greek, you were celebrating Easter...
bla bla bla, here's the story.
It all begins with The Simpon family going to church because Marge is such
a good mother. In church, Marge notices that Rev. Lovejoy doesn't seem to
care about his teachings, so she wants to help. After church that day, while
Homer and the kids goto the dump to throw away the Christmas tree, Marge goes
to Rev. Lovejoy's office and becomes the "listen lady", giving advice to all
who want it.
Meanwhile, at the dump, Lisa, Bart, and there dumbwitted
father, Homer are rumaging through the garbage when Bart notices a strange
box in Japanese with Homer's name on it. Later on, Marge gives some bad
advice to Ned about how to handle some hooligans (Nelson, Buzz, and Kearny),
and he is sent running away from them.
At the "Happy Sumu" Homer asks the
Japanese waiter what the box meant, and he said it was on of the best
detergents in Hokkaido (main Japanese island). Homer goes to the library,
asks for the phone directory of Hokkaido, and calls the "Mr. Sparkle"
company. They send him a franchise-buying tape where Homer learns how his
face got on the box (mixture of two companies' corporate logos).
Meanwhile,
Ned is caught in the zoo, where he stumbles into the Baboon cage. Who else
to come to his rescue but the Rev. Lovejoy himself. From then on, Rev.
Lovejoy enjoys preaching and yadda yadda yadda they live happily ever after
until next Sunday.
LL- This episode was very funny due to Homer's significant role in it. Did
you notice: "May I use your phone?":::"I can't come to church, honey, I gotta
lot of work to do around the bed." Rating: A/A+

Mr. Burns finds out all his employees are " Yes Men", and would never
tell him that he is in financial ruin. He looses his power plant, his
house, etc., and decides to live with Smithers. At the apartment
he has nothing to do, so decides to do grocery shopping. However, since he
never went shopping, he doesn't know what he is doing and is mistaken for a loon, and taken to
the retirement center. There he is bored to death, and remembers Lisa
told him he could get money by recycling. He then begs Lisa to help
him, and she finally agrees. He then gets to work, and soon has enough
money to make a recycling plant. It is dedicated to Lisa, and on the
tour seems to be perfect untill she sees it is also used to kill tons
of fish. She now hates herself because everything has her face on it,
untill Burns tells her that he sold his Little Lisa Recycling Plant and bought back the
nucleur plant; and since she was his partner, he offers her 10 percent. She
refuses, and Homer has a heart attack. Upon hearing its not learning that 10 percent of 100 million isn't $12,000
but $10 mil, he has another heart attack.
The part with Burns is funny, but frankly I
have never seen a Lisa episode I liked, but fortunately, there are good
subplots or scenes with other characters. I give it a B.

Bart complains that he never gets any mail, so Marge decides to give him the junk mail. In the mail, Bart finds a letter for a pre-approved credit card, and uses Santa's Little Helper name.
He tries to use his new card in the comic book store, but the own
er knows him, and won't accept Bart's credit-card. He is about to give up on it, until he finds a phone-order-catalog. Bart becomes shopping-happy and orders stuff for his family,
but mostly for for himself. He then orders a perfect dog, named Laddie, which becomes the talk of the town. Unfortunately, everything gets reposessed, and Bart gives the repo-men Santa's Little Helper instead of Laddie. He then gets overrun with guilt, and gives Laddie to the cops, and goes on a search for S.L.H.
He then finds SLH's current owner, and gets ready to make him so guilty that he'll give him up. But, there is one problem - the man is blind, and the dog is his only companion,
and Bart can't ask for the dog. Bart decides to steal S.L.H., and almost succeeds, but the blind man catches him, and Bart accidentaly runs into a closet. The blind man calls the cops, and they barge in, but the man lets Bart go. Laddie is with the cops and he find marijauna on the blind man. Wiggum tells Bart to leave, and the cops and the blind man start partying. In the credits Wiggum sings along with the song "Jammin'". This episode was the best of this years Simpsons, with the comic book store guy, the jaming songs, and the line from Homer "there, there. Shut up boy". It may become one of the top ten
episodes, A

Two Episodes
First Episode
Review by Josh Freak (Edited by DF)
Bart discovers the hidden love of Skinner and Ms. Krabappel at Martins birthday party. Bart is now the messanger of the two, and is hating it. Sudenly they are caught in the janitors closet kissing,
and soon the children's rumors make it seem to be much more. The superintendent ordered they either break up, or quit there jobs; they decide to quit, until Bart tells Skinner to stand up like a man, and they hold themselves up in the school.
After telling the story to the people, they are still angered about the tale of the janitors closet, until Skinner admits his big secret: he is a virgin. The crowd finally believes him. They then tell Bart there going to break up anyway, since they will always have the town's attention, but when Bart leaves they say how great it is that kids believe everything hear, and walk off to the janitors closet.
This was a great show for secondary characters, especially for Ralph, and Chief Wiggum. And the whole part of the birthday party was great, with the "magic 7" joke, Nelson insulting him, and the "what level of the social scale are we on?" joke was great, I give it a A-
