  • The Postman Always Rings Twice
I am referring to the John Garfield/Lana Turner version. It was after seeing this film that I fell in love with Hank, a boy who was a year behind me in high school. Was it a coincidence that Hank bore a striking resemblance not only to my shot put coach but also to John Garfield?

  • Golden Earrings
  • Any film starring Marlene Dietrich is a must see! In this film she portrays a gypsy hiding Ray Milland from those evil Germans ;-)

  • Can't Stop the Music
My favorite male archetypes of machismo, the Village People!!!! Costarring Steve Gutenburg who sports white Levis and Bruce Jenner who dons a sexy half shirt.

  • Billy Jack
"They tell me I'm supposed to control my bad temper. But when I see what you done here...I...just...go...BER-ZERK! KaPow!!!!!!!!"

  • The Wild One
"Johnny, what are you rebelling against?"
    "Whaddaya got?"
    Oh Marlon, my words exactly!

  • Legend of Billy Jean
Butch haircuts, Pat Benetar, and PUTTER JACKS!!!!

  • Magic Christian
This must be seen if only to experience Yul Brynner in drag and Laurence Harvey doing a strip tease to Hamlet's soliloquy.

  • Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory
"There's no earthly way of knowing...which direction we are going...there's no knowing where we're rowing...or which way the river's flowing...Is it raining, is it snowing...is a hurricane a-blowing?" This is in the scene where Mr. Wonka takes the kids on a psychadelic boat ride.

  • Another Country
Rupert Everett on Cary Elwes: "It was his smile, it made me dizzy. Everything beautiful is slightly lopsided. There's a hollow at the base of his throat that makes me want to pour honey all over him and lick it off again."

  • Brideshead Revisited
Anthony Blanche to potential bullies: "Dear sweet Clodhoppers! If you knew anything about sexual psychology, you would know that nothing could give me keener pleasure than to be manhandled by you meaty boys! Ecstacy of the most naughtiest kind! So, if you wish to be my partner in joy come and seize me, if on the other hand you wish to satsify some less easily classified libido and see me bathe, come with me quietly dear louts- to the fountain!"

  • Maedchen in Uniform and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
  • Both of these films remind me of my idyllic days at Rosemont College and the unusual relationship I had with a certain professor.

  • Beguiled
  • This film also reminds me of my alma mater! Clint Eastwood is kept as a sex slave in an all girls' school. Watching this film when I was fifteen, that's exactly how I wanted to see Clint...caged and helpless.

  • Harold and Maude
The courtship and romance between a twenty-year old man and an eighty-year old woman.

  • Myra Breckenridge
Where else will you see Raquel Welch indulging in not only a sapphic love scene with Farrah Faucett but also raping a young cowboy?

  • Sextette
  • Senility at its worst extreme! Mae West at 93 years of age portrays the 30-year old bride of Timothy Dalton! Amazingly, she doesn't look a day over 72!

  • Where the Boys Are
Paula Prentiss, Jim Hutton, Connie Francis, Frank Gorshin, Dolores Hart, George Hamilton! What a cast!!! I love it when Tuggle says, "I'm gonna go home the way I came even if I have to go down to the local blacksmith and buy me a belt!"

All of these films are linked to the Internet Movie Database
