MFAQ

1.1
What is "Scooby Doo! Where Are You?"
"Scooby Doo! Where Are You?" is the hit cult-TV cartoon from 1969, based on the radio show "I Love A Mystery", and "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis". If you don’t remember it, ask your father. The general gist of the story is of four kids and their great dane cruising around America, and eventually the world, to solve mysteries and supernatural happenings, always revealing them to be a man in a mask at the end. It may sound simple, but it’s got what it takes.

1.2
Who is Scooby Doo?
Scooby Doo is also the name of the show’s star. Scooby is a great dane. He likes eating, and fooling around. He doesn’t do much, but he is entertaining to watch.

1.3
Who Are Mysteries Inc.?
Mysteries Inc. Is the name of Scooby and his friend’s detective agency. To find out more about theses characters and Scooby, read
The Profiles.

1.4
Who is SCrappy Doo?
Scrappy Doo is Scooby’s Nephew. Some kids may like him, but I really, really, hate him. He was annoying, and finally ended the later series. For analysis, read
Secondary Characters

1.5
Who is Scooby Dum?
Scooby Dum is Scooby’s unintelligent cousin. He’s a bit of a hick, and as his name suggests, he’s not too bright. To find out more about Scrappy and Scooby Dum, check the
Secondary Profiles.

1.6
What is the Mystery Machine?
The Mystery Machine is the psychadelically coloured van the gang travelled around in. How do you know it was called the Mystery Machine? Because it was painted in bright orange on the side. It doesn’t hold any magical powers, or anything, but it has been an integral part of Scooby Doo for years, and is present in almost every series, even making a return in Zombie Island, although it looks much cooler. Sometimes it held complicated technical computer equipment, like tracking devices, but sometimes it only holds a second seat, a table, or simply nothing.

1.7
Who is Red Herring?

A red herring is a false clue. Red Herring is a character from A Pup Named Scooby Doo. The local bully, he would often be accused by Fred for the many mysteries they faced, but then be proved innocent.

1.8
What is Scooby Doo On Zombie Island?
Scooby Doo On Zombie Island is the spectacularly animated sequel to Scooby Doo. Everything is redone. All the original gang return for another round, and the artwork is great. Although only Frank Welker remains as the voice of Fred, the gang still sound almost identical to before. Check out the full review in
Video Review.

1.9
What are Scooby Snacks
Scooby Snacks are dog biscuits, but Shaggy seems to enjoy them too. When consumed, they give you almost unlimited courage for about ten seconds. Unfortunatley, this often leaves you in a perdicament when it wears off. Of course, there have been rumors... for further info, check up on
Mysteries and Conspiracies.

1.10
Who Is Don Messick?

Don messick was the original voice of Scooby, as well as many other cartoon characters. Don passed away on October 25th in 1997, from a stroke. Scott Innes is the new voice of Scooby (he isn’t half bad).

1.11
Where Does Scooby Live?
No one really knows where Scooby lives, since he isn’t home very much. The mystery machine would be the closest guess, but the gang normally stay at some nearby hotel to where they’re currently visiting. I do know that they lived in Coolsville when they were kids.

1.12
Who are the Gang’s relatives?
The gang have too many relatives to name, mostly aunts and uncles. Mostly ordainary people, like scientists, doctors, businessmen, etc. Check in
Secondary Characters to learn more.

1.13
How can the gang afford to tour the world without any money?
Daphne’s rich parents, who also paid for the Mystery Machine, give them the money they need, although it rumoured that they are simply incredibly conservative (No clothes changes, and they never eat, or pay for their stays at hotels).

1.14
Where can I see Scooby?
Scooby-Doo is featured in many series, most which can be seen either on TNT, or The Cartoon Network, which is almost worldwide by now. Other places are most Saturday morning kid’s shows, and Teletoon, the Canadian Cartoon Channel.
Cartoon Network has some neat stuff on Scooby. Check it out in their D.O.C.
