Look into the canopy way above your head, Look closely into the trees where the light has fled. The swaying branches tell a story way up there, Of things that are to come murmuring in the air! The wind whispers to the fluttering leaves, What I say to you now, you better believe! There's a storm a brewin' in the clouds overhead, Fold in your tender leaves, don't leave them spread! Swaying to the sounds only the limbs can hear, Relaying the messages of the rain that's near. Carefully and slowly the leaves turn in, Just in time for the rain shower to begin! Author: Susan T.
