A mother's love is endless as the air, She's always there, and always fair. A mother's kindness is ever present, Even when her attention always isn't. A mother's comfort is ever so warm, Just like the sun on a summer morn. A mother's strength is unstoppable, Like when she picks you up when you topple! A mother's patience is undying, How many times did those shoes need tying? A mother's voice is always reassuring, She's invariably around when you need cheering. A mother's wisdom is ever true, Though sometimes you didn't follow through! A mother's expectations are so high, She knows her children can reach the sky! A mother's tears are from the heart, She sheds them for you when you're apart. A mother's advice is sometimes hard to take, She would prefer to be the one to make the mistake. A mother's arms are open wide, For warm hugs and help those tears be dried! A mother's heart is of pure gold, That beats a song till she's very old. A mother's faith is ever strong, Her convictions to God are never wrong! Yes, a mother is all these things and more, She's always loving, forgiving, and never a bore! She's there to depend on every day, And do what's needed in every way! Author: Susan T. Fisher June 25, 1999
