God chose those special women for the part,
Who have a soft spirit, and a kind heart.
Those who have patience never-ending,
And must also, have the talent of mending!



She must possess soft but strong arms and a lap,
For to hold all the grandchildren just before a nap.
She has to have good eyes to read a book,
And be able to teach the kids how to cook.



She must also have a constant supply of hugs,
And to be able to frighten off big scary bugs!
She needs to be there to always receive,
A grandchild who's counting on her to believe!



She has to have a good listening skill,
To hear all the stories the kids have to tell!
She must learn to say nothing but praise,
"Oh, it's beautiful!" is the proper phrase!



To become a Grandmother is a special position,
It takes lots of love and a little transition.
But being a Grandmother, one thing will occur,
An angel will always be watching down on her!
