Some people think the face of God is hard,
With a stern look, and always on guard.
Others think of him as a hazy spirit,
Long cloak on, wispy features underneath it.

I see God as a kind and gentle man,
With loving eyes and outstretched hand.
Someone who you will trust right away,
Whom you want to spend time with every day.

To me God has the image of a face that is,
Compassionate, yet firm that could only be his.
Without any words, He seems to say,
Come to me, come here to pray.
