In january-februari 1998 I visited Mumbai (formerly Bombay) to make reports on the Indian Filmindustry for Samsam Magazine and 'Cinema India', a filmfestival held in the Soeterijn Theatre of the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam.
I had the good opportunity to meet several big filmstars and directors on the filmsets in the city, like Madhuri Dixit, Nana Patekar, N. Chandra, Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Juhi Chawla and Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
