The
Righteous RUNNETH INTO IT!
Please turn
with me in your bibles to Proverbs 18:10; (THE NAME OF THE
LORD IS A STRONG TOWER: THE RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT,
AND IS SAFE.)
The
Name of the Lord
Look at what keeps the RIGHTEOUS safe! Look at what protects
them from their enemies. THE NAME OF THE LORD! Friend your
not SAFE just because you have pad locks, and dead bolts on every
door. Your not SAFE because you carry a 44 magnum with you every
where you go. The only real SAFETY is in THE NAME OF THE LORD!
David boldly declared in Ps.23:4 (Yea, though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.) All that David needed to know to keep him from
being afraid, is that: THE LORD IS WITH ME! And in His
hand is a ROD and STAFF. Somebody help me Praise the Lord.
THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG TOWER! I love this.
You see, our SAFETY, and WELL-BEING all rest in who God
is!
When Moses asked God; who should I tell your people has sent
me to bring them out of Egypt? God answered: Tell them I AM
hast sent you! Church I've come to declare unto you, that our God
is not the Great I Was, or just the Great I WILL BE,
He's still the GREAT I AM! Raise Your Hands and Praise Him.
Everything that we have need of as a Child of God is all
covered by his Great Name "I AM". God says I
AM your Salvation, I AM your Deliverer, I AM your
Healer, I AM your Helper, I AM your Refuge, I
AM your Strength, I AM your Supplier, I AM your Joy,
I AM your Peace, All that you need to live a life of
Victory, is in the NAME OF THE LORD!
But many in churches all around the world, just don't know him
as I AM. Mainly because their Preacher doesn't know Him!
Come on and shout amen. They preach Him as the MIGHT BE, or the
MAYBE HE IS, or the He USE TO BE, or the Great He USE TO! But
this generation needs to know Him as the GREAT HE STILL DOES!
In Joel 2:32 God's word says; ( And it shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be
delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be
deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the
LORD shall call.) David proclaims in Ps.20:7, (Some trust in
chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of
the LORD our God.) And then in Ps.124:8 he reassures God's
people (Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made
heaven and earth.)
Take a look at Psa 9:10 with me, and get ready to shout. (And they
that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou,
LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.) Church we must know
that, THE NAME OF THE LORD covers EVERY area of our need,
no matter how great or small it may be. The reason that David
could say with confidence; I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, is because
he knew the Lord as the Great Shepherd that watches over His
sheep to keep and protect them from evil. And this is why he
could stand before Goliath the Giant, himself being just a youth.
His very words testified that he knew His God and Trusted in Him
to give him VICTORY over this Champion of the Philistines
Goliath the Giant. Hear him as he declares to Goliath; "Thou
comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the
God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will
the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and
take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the
host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and
to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that
there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that
the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the
Lord's, and he will give you into our hands."
Church we have been given the right, and Authority to use the
Name that holds ALL power; and that's the name of JESUS!
Everything is subject to that name. Jesus said in Mark 16:17&18
( And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my
name shall they cast out devils; they shall
speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt
them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall
recover.)
Look at Eph 1:20-23 (Which he wrought in Christ, when he
raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in
the heavenly places, Far above all principality,
and power, and might, and dominion, and
every name that is named, not only in this world, but
also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under
his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the
church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in
all.) Also in Phil 2:9 - 11 the word of God declares; ( Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name: That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.)
And this is why Jesus said in John 14:13 & 14 (And
whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I
do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall
ask any thing in my name, I will do it.)
Praise be unto God for the ALL powerful Name which he has given
unto us: for in that name, THE NAME OF JESUS, we have VICTORY
OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE DEVIL! Go Ahead And Praise The Lord.
THEY THAT KNOW THY NAME WILL PUT THEIR TRUST IN THEE!
The
Righteous RUNNETH Into It
Lets take a good look at this. The Name of the Lord is a
Strong Tower: THE RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT! The Righteous does
what? RUNNETH INTO IT! Look at it: THE RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT!
I believe that one of the greatest reasons that God's people
spend so much time IN trouble; is because they are so SLOW in
taking it to the Lord. Now we all know that Psa 34:19 says; (
Many are the afflictions of the righteous:) But to many have
stoped with that, lets read the rest of the verse; ( but the
LORD delivereth him out of them all.) And we
know that even God Fearing saints face TROUBLES. But what we also
need to know is that God's word declares in Prov 11:8 (The
righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh
in his stead.) Also in Prov 12:13 God's word says; (The wicked is
snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall
come out of trouble.) Somebody Shout Yes.
The secert is knowing what to do when TROUBLES come. You may
ask: What is the secert? The secert is RUNNING INTO THE NAME OF
THE LORD, which is our Strong Tower! To many just POKE ALONG and
say: I'LL GET THERE SOME TIME! You had better hurry up and get
there, or you just may not make it!
How many remember the account given in Matthew 14, when Jesus
came unto his disciples WALKING ON THE WATER? There they were in
the midst of the sea, a great storm tossing them to and fro, so
great was the storm that they feared for their very lives. Just
then one of them looks out in the distance and sees a form moving
towards them on top of the water. He then shows the others, and
panic breaks out in the boat, they begain to cry out in fear
thinking that it was a ghost, not knowing that it was Jesus
coming unto them. This is what they thought: This is it! We're
done for! There's no way we're going to make it through this!
When ghost start showing up it's a sure sign of death! But when
Jesus heard their crys of fear and dispare, he call out unto them
saying: "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."
cries of fear and despair, he called out unto them saying:"BE
OF GOOD CHEER, IT IS I: BE NOT AFRAID."
You see, the very first thing Jesus has to do when you allow
PANIC to break out in your life, is to: GET YOU CALMED DOWN!
And the way he does this is by Speaking His Word unto you,
reassuring you that He's there, and that you don't have to be
afraid.
Then Peter, when he heard Jesus, said unto Him: Jesus if that's
you bid me to come to you. Jesus said unto Peter; COME!
Now remember, the storm is still raging, and the waves are still
just as high as they were before. But when Peter heard Jesus say
unto him, COME: out of the boat Peter came, and went WALKING
ON THE WATER to Jesus.
Then something happened. Instead of keeping his eyes on Jesus,
Peter begins to get his eyes on the storm, he's now looking at
how high the waves are, he is no longer seeing Jesus his HOPE and
his SALVATION: all he can see now is a RAGING SEA THAT WANT'S
TO SWALLOW HIM UP!
Now I've heard some get down on Peter, and they haven't even
got out of the boat. At least Peter stepped out of the boat by
FAITH, and WALKED ON WATER! Don't be so hard on Peter until your
out of the boat; WALKING ON THE WATER, in the midst of a
RAGING SEA! Don't get Quit, Someone Shout Amen.
Yes Peter got his eyes off Jesus, and the SUPERNATURAL
MIRACLE WORKING POWER OF GOD which was holding him up on top
of the water is now gone: This should be a lesson to you and I,
At the word of Jesus, and with his eyes on the Lord, PETER
WALKED ON THE WATER BY FAITH! But when he took his eyes off
Jesus and got them on other things, HE BEGAN TO SINK! This
is the very reason why Paul gives us this charge in Heb 12:2a ( Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;)
You see with his eyes on Jesus Peter began his WALK OF FAITH
on the water, and the only way he's going to FINISH it: IS
WITH HIS EYES ON JESUS!
Now look at Mat 14:30 & 31 with me, ( But when he saw the
wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink,
he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched
forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of
little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?) And he BEGINNING TO
SINK! Let me ask you; How long does it take to sink? That's
right. NOT LONG AT ALL! This is what I want you to see:
Peter didn't wait until he had sunk beneath the waves before he
called unto the Lord for help; AND BEGINNING TO SINK! Just
as soon as he felt himself sinking, he cried unto the Lord. THE
RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT, AND IS SAFE!
Now Peter didn't take his time in calling for help. He didn't
wait until he was under the water, and then decide; "Well I
guess I better pray!" But there are some that its the third
time down for them. They've already sank beneath the waves
blowing bubbles, they come up just long enough to grasp for air,
they fight and struggle in their own strength to stay on top,
only to be pulled below once again. Then they say; Well I guess
maybe I ought to pray now. Yes, they need to pray! Their not
going to last much longer unless they call out to God for HELP!
But hear it: THE RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT, AND
IS SAFE! The time to call unto the Lord for help, is BEFORE
YOU GO UNDER! You don't have to drag around in DEFEAT: RUN
UNTO THE LORD! You don't have to drag around in sickness: RUN
UNTO THE LORD! You don't have to drag around in SORROW and
DESPAIR: FOR THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG TOWER, THE
RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT, AND IS SAFE!
Your
Only Safe In The Lord
I want to say to each one reading this message today, that, TRUE
SAFETY can only be had IN THE NAME OF THE LORD! In
this world that's gone STARK RAVING MAD with sin and
perversion, because they have rejected the way of TRUTH,
and they love DARKNESS rather then LIGHT, your just
not safe; EXCEPT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!
With the increase of Drive By Shootings, Mass Shootings in
Malls, restaurants, schools, and places of business, people just
killing to be killing for no reason. And this is only a foretaste
of what's in store for this ungodly, and perverse generation: for
God's word declares that it will wax WORSE and WORSE!
Hiring Body-guards, and carrying guns and knives for
protection is not your answer: THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG
TOWER, THE RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT, AND IS SAFE!
Lets see who God says is really SAFE. Prov. 29:25 says; (The
fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the
LORD shall be safe.) In Psa 4:8 we read; ( I will both lay
me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me
dwell in safety.) There are many today who are so afraid and
fearful, that they can't sleep unless they knock themselves out
with sleeping pill's, strong drink, and drugs: and even these
things aren't helping. For God's word says: THOU LORD ONLY
MAKEST ME DWELL IN SAFETY! And Prov. 21:31 reads; (The horse
is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the
LORD.)
Now lets see what God has to say about the Wicked and Ungodly
of this Last Day generation: 1 Thess.. 5:3 says; (For when they
shall say, Peace and safety; Then sudden destruction
cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they
shall not escape.)
Friend of mine: THERE IS NO SAFETY OUTSIDE OF THE LORD!
For THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG TOWER: THE
RIGHTEOUS RUNNETH INTO IT, AND IS SAFE!
