St. Pius V High School Robotics Team/ Beta Club

Ms. Petrignani created the first all-girls robotics team in the Archdiocese in the fall of 2003. It was also the first all-girls robotics team in New York State, Northeast and Canada. Our robotics team, The Pius Princesses, is an all-girls team, from The South Bronx, that currently consists of 13 members. We are extremely dedicated to what we do. With hard work, and determination The Pius Princesses plan to make our society a better place for the disabled, pre-engineering majors and techies.

Every Year, Ms. Petrignani inducts new members into the Beta Club which is a lifetime membership into a National Sorority for Women in the Math, Science and Technology fields. At the St. Pius V High School Awards Day, which takes place at the end of every school year, the students who have joined and completed their first big science project with the Robotics Team from the beginning of the school year are properly inducted and become members of The National Beta Club.
