This is a current picture of my tank as of 9/28/03.  I recently added around 10-15 pounds of live rock, and a new feather duster.  All is doing surprisingly well, and the branch coral in the upper left hand corner is doing great unexpectedly, under my low lighting.  I am designing, and should be building a new hood this weekend, and am ordering my new lighting system (250W Metal Hallide w/ Electronic Ballast and 10k XM bulb) October 15th, 2003.  I feed the tank frozen brine shrimp every other night.  The crabs, hermits, pistol and cleaner shrimp, feather duster and starfish all enjoy it.

Well, it's 12/20/03 and things have changed a little since I last updated.  I've added a
Cherub Angelfish, and Spotted Hawkfish.  Both are doing awesome and love Spirulina Flakes and Brine Shrimp, along with the Yellow Tang.  I finally ordered my lighting system this week (patience or procrastination?) and it should be here by Christmas.  I also added two giant Turbo Snails, but one has already fell prey to the hermit crabs.  I am planning on buying an Algae Magnet soon.  Although I've never had a big problem with algae (ever) I have had minimal diatom algae on the glass recently, and I also had what I think might be pod growth actually on my glass?  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, but I don't really like it on the glass.  Another issue that's been pleasing is that my Hawkfish has actually befriended my cleaner shrimp.  Instead of chasing it like prey, he actually allows it to clean him! What a match! In the near future, after I install my lighting, I am planning on adding a few soft corals, maybe some shrooms and a leather or two- and hopefully then I can look toward a skimmer!  (phew! all the money!)
