Cletus is probably one of the funniest characters on the Simpsons, yet he is only in a few episodes. In fact he has never EVER played a big role in an episode! He's usually in for about 1 or 2 minutes and then he can't be seen for another few episodes. He has 26 (count 'em 26!) kids. Cletus has done a big contribution to the show, but he hasn't done enough. He started in "Bart Gets an Elephant" gawking Lisa. In that episode he didn't have a name but believe it or not he was named bfore he was on the show!!! A redneck like Cletus got married before Homer and Marge and his name was Cletus. I think from that they got the name Cletus for this slacked jawed yokel we all love! He moved on from there to become not so famous. No one really cared about him. He was in barely any episodes. Then an episode named "22 Short Films About Springfield" aired. That episode was probably the best Cletus episode ever! It had a whole segment devoted to him. Since then he was in lots of episodes. Sometimes twice in one episode! The biggest season for him was season 9! He was in almost every other episode!! His girlfriend or wife's name is Brandine. She works at Dairy Queen and once tried to be a topless dancer. His mother made her first and only appearance in "Itchy and Scratchy Land" standing in the 12:00 noon parade. He bathes his children at the carwash. I just found out recently that his last name is Delroy. It says it in "A Guide To Springfeild". One of his children's names is the same as mine (Jordan) but you wouldn't really care about that.
