White's Tree Frogs
The World From My Eyes. Buying the Frog
*~* Animalia. *~*
WHERE TO BUY?
There are many places where you can buy a White's Tree Frog. I highly DO NOT reccommend getting your White's at a petstore such as Petsmart or Petco. They keep many different species of frogs and toads in spaces that are too small for even one of those frogs. Inter-species keeping is never good if you keep more than one breed of frog or toad in the same house. If there is a small, independently run pet store where you live, look there first. I will describe what to look for later on.
You can also look at a reptile/amphibian show or expo. I got my baby White's at the Midwest Reptile Show. Most animals here are captive-bred and are not at such a high risk of having a disease. There are also many different places to buy online. I have never bought a frog online, so I don't reccomend one specific place.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR?
DO NOT BUY IF:
   * Underside is bright red.
   * Frog is brown in color.
   * Frog is very skinny and fragile looking.
   * Frog is sticky when touched.
   * There are other species of frogs in with the frog you are looking at.

DO BUY IF:
   * Underside is white-ish or has a tinge of pink.
   * Frog is lime green or light teal in color.
   * Frog has fatty areas around its arms, legs, stomach and "ears".
   * Frog is smooth and doesn't secrete anything when touched.
   * Frog is in with other HEALTHY LOOKING species of its own kind.
