Women in Indochina

Women are the prime movers in the economies of Indochina. The three year study project, undertaken by WARI, aims to pay adequate attention to policy studies relevant to improve the economic capacity of women and men. The country papers on working women in SME, informal sectors & in factories, and growth of economic participation of women are being prepared by country scholars in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. These country reports along with other related papers were presented at the Gender Conference on working women in Indochina to be held in Bangkok on February 26-27, 2000, Feb 27-28, 2001 & March 1-4, 2002.
