ABOUT ME

I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am studying Mechanical Engineering, and following a Motorsports Concentration. This concentration involves extra courses and more involvement in the Engineering Department. It also means being associated and helping with the Motorsports Teams on campus. Now, I am on the Engine Dyno Team. I have junior standing with 62 credit hours completed currently.

Dawkins MotorSports is a would be business which I would like to venture more into as I progress through college and as I have time to do work here and there along the way. I have been involved with racecars and building engines for several years, as well as in and around car restorations my entire life. This started as early as six months old for me (I saw the pictures). I have been thoroughly involved with my truck over the past 4 years, doing most of the work myself with the necessary help and guidance of my dad and uncle. We also have a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air, and I just recently picked up a 91 Camaro Z28. I have also been involved with computers and technology for several years. I was in Computer Engineering Technology and Network Engineering courses through high school. A recent plundering for me has been circuitry involving microchips. I have built a bi-directional sequencer to mimic the "night rider" car, and have plans to build miniature stoplights and a linear CB amp. I am working 8-5 Monday through Friday while in Asheboro to earn some extra cash through an internship with Thermaco Big Dipper. I also joined GANG GREEN at UNC Charlotte my freshman year and will continue to be a member. GANG GREEN is a fan group who attends many of the sporting events at UNCC and even travels to many away games.
