black hair and emerald eyes, she fell for Leapfrog and still loves him even
though, her older brother aruges it, and does everything in his power to make

A lower class Englishman, David is an accomplished violinist that spent his afternoons accompanying Kristine Kochanski to take up her afternoons. He is a pleasant young man, quite friendly and easygoing. He has tanned skin, wavy brown hair, and deep brown eyes that always seem to sparkle. blue eyes. He is a newsie who has his money stolen from Penny. Both he and
Penny end up in the Refuge where they begin to have feelings for one another.

A doctor with a practice in Bay Ridge, he (or rather, his wife Helen) made the risky decision of allowing a female to work for him. He's in his mid-forties, with dark hair greying at the temples. A solidly built fellow, he looks more suited to farm work than medicine, despite his posh heritage. She was Charity's best friend and the leader of the girls lodging house
up until her death on January 31, 1902. She was a seventeen year old bi-racial
with light brown skin and long curly brown hair. Her eyes were brown with a
hint of green in them. She could usually be seen in a long gray skirt and
white blouse. She was very kind hearted and friendly when she was alive and
believed in being honest with people. She spoke openly about her past and kept

Glory is a tall, lanky burnett who acts as the leader of the girls in
the House of Refuge. She is the first one that Penny meets when she is taken
to the Refuge and she and Penny become fast friends. Glory is in the Refuge
for killing her cousin Bryan with a kitchen knife after he started beating
her. Glory is very outgoing and acts as a mother to the younger girls in the

Jay McGuiness owns an orphanage. He's run into Leapfrog quite a few
times, and the two of them aren't on very good turns. When Leapfrog went to
Bay Ridge, he never expected Mr. McGuiness to find him. He's about 35. His
hair is brown and he has blue eyes. He was often seen wearing black pants and
either a blue or brown shirt. Mr. McGuiness has been called a very cold-

He was Leapfrog's best friend. He walked into a building in 1899, never
to come out after it burned to the ground. He was a kind person, one of the
few that could put up with Leapfrog's impatience. He had dirty blond hair, and
hazel eyes. His skin was tan and wore khaki pants and a blue shirt most often.
Joe offered a lot and was very outgoing. He listened more than he talked. Joe
opened up Leapfrog's mind and personality to a whole new side of life. The

Joey Sauker is a member of a cult. Leapfrog sold papers to him for the longest time, before he was knocked out and brought to the cult. He was embarrased mortally, though Joey passed through hazing and is now a fullfledged member. The second time he met Leapfrog, Joey hit on Leapfrog, resulting in near-rape. Matthew is the 5'11, blonde haired boy who has caught Tiptoe's attention. He is a choir boy for Our Lady of Angels Catholic church. He met Tiptoe one night when he was taking out the trash. She was sitting outside the church listening and he told her she could listen inside. He walked her home and has been everytime he sees her at the church. He lives with his parents in a brownstone house on 97th street, which is in the southern part of the Bay Ridge territory. He's very polite, caring, and treats Tiptoe as any respectful boy would. He's a perfect gentleman to everyone he encounters, although he might come off as naive towards things that go on when you live on the streets. Created by: Crystal
He's an eighteen year old former Bay Ridge newsboy who lives with his wife, former newsgirl, Michelle "Penny" Cane and their son, Kyle, who was born May 20, 1904 in a nearby apartment building. He was given all rights to the lodging house after the original owner passed away, luckily the house was paided off so all he worries about is paying all the smaller expenses--such as the water and electric bills. He collects the rent once a week to help him pay for these. With strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes and a muscular build he can easily be classified as handsome. For the most part he's laidback and nice with a good sense of humar but he holds grudges against people and gets violent when he's been drinking. Created by: Allyson
Melanie, also known as Mellie for short, is the daughter of former lodger, Promise Kept Smyth. She was born on April 13, 1904. After the death of her mother, Smudge McDoyal offered to take care of her for a little while for Angel, who had been watching her. After growing to love her like his own, he decided to keep her and try to gain custody of her. She has light brown hair that curls at the end and bright blue eyes. She has features much like Promise. A former member of Dodge's gang, Miles Ponteau is seeking revenge against Leapfrog, as well as the rest of Bay Ridge Lodging House. Dodge's gang was led to believe that Leapfrog was the cause of Dodge's death. Ponteau has therefore taken it upon himself to try and kill every person at the lodging house. Miles is 5'9" tall. Reagan is a proud southerner who became Juliet's best friend after awhile. She has blonde hair and green eyes, she's stands tall at 5'9. Her and Juliet got into many scrapes in their days together, but they always found a way to get each other out of them. Juliet in much more discreet ways than Reagan. Reagan was more of a gunslinger type than anything else and she had the ability to use them in the right way. They were best friends and would have done anything for each other until Tale came into the picture. Both had opposing views on how he should be raised, in the end it was Juliet who won out and she decided that Reagan wasn't the best influence for Tale. So she packed their things up and moved them to New York, leaving Reagan behind. Though Reagan harbors no ill will towards Juliet, in fact, she still loves both of them as she would her own family, which is why she's searching for them.

Ridge. Sylvia was at the lodging house for a brief period while her father''s
business was in a slump (August 1903). She WAS Leapfrog's crush, and had a
