Revelation 22:18,19

Jesus is speaking (verse 16)

I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy of this book if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

There are 66 books in the Bible that Jesus referred to while walking on earth. Any extra books are looked upon as history not doctrinal truths.

There are doctrines taught in some churches that can not be found in the Bible. BEWARE. You are responsible for your part in your faith in God. DO NOT EVER take anyone's word for what is the truth. ALWAYS check it out for yourself. God's Word tells us in:

Matthew 24:24

For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22

for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order, if possible, to lead the elect astray.

What can be considered EXTRA books?

Anything that adds to, or takes away or changes what is written in the bible is a false doctrine.

Some beliefs

not

found in the Bible;

Pugatory

Mary rising from the dead

Mary being born without sin

The saints hearing and answering prayers
This could be compared to what happened to Saul in the Old Testament. Saul went to a medium (witch) to consult Samuel the Prophet. Read 1 Samuel 25:1 and 11-20

Finally, if you are in any church that teaches false doctrine and is not Christ centered, run to the nearest full gospel church. If Christ is spoken as the Saviour and Lord and that Christ rose from the dead on the third day, you are probably in a good church. Read your bible, study your bible and someday I'll meet you in glory.
