The Heir to the Throne of David.........
|
2 Sam. 7:13;
"He shall build a house for My name, and I will
establish the throne of his kingdom forever. (NKJV)
Is. 9:7;
Of the increase of His government and
peace there will be no end, upon the throne
of David and over His kingdom, to order it and
establish it with judgment and justice from that
time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of
hosts will perform this. (NKJV)
Isa. 11:1-5
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of
Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the
Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of
counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of
the fear of the Lord. His delight is in the
fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the
sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His
ears; but with righteousness He shall judge the
poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the
earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of
His mouth, and with the breadth of His lips He
shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the
belt of His loins, and faithfulness the belt of His
waist. (NKJV)

the going forth of the command to restore and build

street shall be built again, and the wall, even in
troublesome times. (NKJV)
|
Lu. 2:1-7
And it came to pass in those days that a
decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the
world should be registered. This census first took
place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all
went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the
city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the
house and lineage of David, to be registered with
Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it
was, that while they were there, the days were
completed for her to be delivered. And she brought
forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in
swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manager,
because there was no room for them in the inn.
(NKJV)

A Sign is given.....born of a virgin
| Is. 7:14
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a
sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a
Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. (NKJV)
|
Mt. 1:18,22,23;
verse 18: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as
follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to
Joseph, before they came together, she was found
with child of the Holy Spirit. (NKJV)
verses 22,23: Now all this was done that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord
through the prophet saying: "Behold a virgin
shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall
call His name Immanuel," which is translated,
"God with us."(NKJV)
Lu. 1:26-35;
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was
sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to
a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph,
of the house of David. The virgin's name was
Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her,
"Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord
is with you; blessed are you among
women!" But when she saw him, she was
troubled at his saying, and considered what manner
of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her,
"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor
with God. And behold, you will conceive in your
womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name
JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son
of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the
throne of His father David." (NKJV)
Jn. 1:14;
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
(NKJV)
Ro. 8:3;
For what the law could not do in that it was
weak through the flesh, God did by sending
His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on
account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
(NKJV)
Ph. 2:7;
but made Himself of no reputation, taking the
form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of
men. (NKJV)
1 Tim. 3:16;
And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifested in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached
among the Gentiles, believed on in the world,
received up in glory. (NKJV)
He. 2:14;
Inasmuch then as children have partaken of flesh
and blood, He Himself likewise shared the same,
that through death He might destroy him who had the
power of death, that is, the devil, (NKJV)
1 Jn. 4:2
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit
that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the
flesh is of God, (NKJV)

Born in Bethlehem
|
Mi. 5:2
"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you
are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of
you shall come forth to Me the One to be ruler in
Israel, whose goings forth have been from of
old, from everlasting." (NKJV)
|
Mt. 2:1,5;
verse 1: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem
of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold,
wise men from the East came to Jersalem, (NKJV)
verse 5: So they said to him, "In Bethlehem of
Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
(NKJV)
Lu. 2:4;
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the
city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the
house and lineage of David, (NKJV)
Jn. 7:42
"Has not the Scripture said that the Christ
comes from the seed of David and from the town of
Bethlehem, where David was?" (NKJV)

Human as well as Divine
| Is. 9:6;
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is
given; and the government will be upon His
shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince
of Peace. (NKJV)
Mt. 1:1;
The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the
Son of David, the Son of Abraham: (NKJV)
Ga. 4:4;
But when the fullness of the time had come, God
sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the
law, (NKJV)
Ph. 2:8;
And being found in appearance as a man, He
humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of
death, even the death of the cross. (NKJV)
1 Tim. 2:5
For there is one God and one Mediator
between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
(NKJV)
| He. 2:17;
Therefore, in all things He had to be made like
His brethren, that He might be a merciful
and faithful High Priest in things
pertaining to God, to make propitiation for
the sins of the people. (NKJV)
He. 4:14,15;
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who
has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of
God, let us hold fast our confession. For we
do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize
with our weaknesses, but was in all points
tempted as we are, yet without sin. (NKJV)
He. 5:5;
So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become
High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:
"You are My Son, today I have begotten You."
(NKJV)
He. 6:20;
where the forerunner has entered for us,
even Jesus, having become High Priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek. (NKJV)
He. 7:26;
For such a High Priest was fitting for us,
who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate
from sinners, and has become higher than the
heavens; (NKJV)
He. 8:1
Now this is the main point of the things
we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is
seated at the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens, (NKJV)

Massacre of Infants
|
Je. 31:15
Thus says the Lord: "A voice was heard in Ramah,
lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel
weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted
for her children, because they are no more."
(NKJV)
|
Mt. 2:16-18
Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by
the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent
forth and put to death all the male children who
were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from
two years old and under, according to the time
which he had determined from the wise men. Then was
fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet
saying: A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation,
weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her
children, refusing to be comforted, because they
were no more." (NKJV)
| |
Called out of Egypt
|
Ho. 11:1
"When Israel was a child, I loved him,
and out of Egypt I called My son. (NKJV)
|
Mt. 2:14,15
When he arose, he took the young Child and His
mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was
there until the death of Herod, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the
prophet, saying, Out of Egypt I called My
Son." (NKJV)
| |
John the Baptist, the Messenger in the Wilderness
|
Mal. 3:1
"Behold, I send My messenger, and he will
prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you
seek, will suddenly cme to His temple, even the
Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight.
Behold, He is coming," Says the Lord of hosts.
(NKJV)
|
Jn. 1:6-8
There was a man sent from God, whose name
was John. This man came for a witness, to
bear witness of the Light, that all through him
might believe. He was not that Light, but was
sent to bear witness of that Light. (NKJV)

Called a Nazrene
|
Isa. 9:1,2
Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who
is distressed, as when at first He lightly estemmed
the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and
afterward more heavily oppressed her, by the way of
the sea, beyond the Jordan, in Galilee of the
Gentiles. The people who walked in darkness have
seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of
the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.
(NKJV)
|
Mt. 2:23;
And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth,
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the
prophets, "He shall be called a Nazrene." (NKJV)
Mt. 4:13-16;
And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in
Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions
