True Teacher or False Teacher
What does Scripture say, How can We tell the Difference?

This is only the beginning of the search on this topic. Please look up the scripture verses presented and read them for yourself.

One danger that can cause us to fall into fasle teachings, is when we are lazy. We must check out the scripture, pray and read everything ourselves. To see if you agree or not with what is being presented.

Read: John Chapter 10, starting with verse 1 and continuing (John 10:1-16)

verse 1: Jesus tells us how to tell who is the thief or robber. The thief or robber does not enter by the door.

So, we must ask one question, what door?

verse 7: Jesus states that He is the door. I conclude that the preacher-teacher-minister must be associated with Jesus himself. Only a thief or robber is not associated with Jesus, what do you conclude?

Important
Remember: 2 Timothy 3:16,17

ALL Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

verse 9: Jesus states that salvation comes thru Christ alone. If a preacher-teacher-minister tell me that there is another way to obtain salvation, I must see a warning sign or red flag. I must also consider searching the scripture more intensely or see what the entire bible tells me about salvation.

verse 10: Jesus states (promises) that He gives life, might, and gives it more abundantly. This tells me that in no other way can I receive life, might and abundant life.

verse 11: Jesus tells me (us) what the "Good Shepherd" will do for His flock. I must ask myself how dedicated is the preacher-teacher-minister that is teaching me to his work? (After I determine if the person is teaching the truth or not first).

Jesus is also describing Himself to us.

verse 14: Jesus knows His followers and His followers know Him. The sheep can hear the voice of his shepherd.

verse 15: Jehovah Father knows Jesus, Jesus knows Jehovah Father. Jesus tells us that He is going to lay down His life for His sheep and does later in scripture. Jesus is the Passover lamb that Jehovah Father required for the forgiveness of All sins of the world and for everyone in the world (John chapter 3 verse 16 [John 3:16]).

verse 16: There were going to be other sheep added to the flock. Jesus is announcing to the Jews that the Gentiles were also going to find salvation through Him. All demoninations would be combined in His flock. Salvation is the bottom line when it comes to who is saved and who is not saved.

Demoninations have developed because they do not agree on matters such as; how Jehovah God should be worshipped, how we as followers should dress, what day of the week service should be held on, etc., etc., etc. These are man-made rules and regulations. I want you to encourage you to find a gospel teaching church that is Christ centered and one that you are comfortable with and in. And Go!
