JESUS
TAKES IT PERSONAL
How We Treat One
Another
Gal. 2: 20 (I am crucified
with Christ: nevertheless I LIVE; yet NOT I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the
flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and
gave himself for me.)
Paul admitted that he was ALIVE, but that it was not HIS LIFE LIVING,
(FOR HIS LIFE HAD BEEN CRUIFIED WITH CHRIST) it was the RESURRECTED CHRIST LIVING IN HIM! He was Alive because of
Christ's Life abiding in him. And we must know, that there IS NO LIFE OUTSIDE
OF CHRIST!
Look at 1John 5: 11 & 12 (And
this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and
this life is in his Son. ver.12 He that hath the Son hath
life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.) So we
see that those who are without Christ, are DEAD. Eph. 2:1 (And you hath he quickened,
who WERE
DEAD in
trespasses and sins:) Eph. 2: 5 & 6 (Even when we WERE DEAD in sins, hath quickened
us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) ver.6 And
hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus:)
Thank God for His Son, Christ
Jesus! Acts 17: 28a (For IN HIM WE LIVE, and MOVE, and HAVE OUR BEING;) Hallelujah!
Notice: Paul said by the Holy
Ghost; I
LIVE, yet NOT I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME! And every true BornAgain
believer can say with Paul; IT IS CHRIST'S LIFE THAT LIVETH IN
ME! Now
here are some points to think about.
1. THE LIFE OF CHRIST BY OBEDANCE SEEKS
ONLY TO PLEASE THE FATHER. John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me:
the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that
please him. I Thes. 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you,
brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have
received of us how
ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more
and more. 2 Tim. 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with
the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him
to be a soldier.
2. THE LIFE OF CHRIST ONLY SEEKS
TO DO THE WILL OF GOD. John 6:38
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the
will of him that sent me. Heb. 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done
the will of God, ye
might receive the promise. 1Pet. 4:2 That he no longer should
live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of
God. 1John 2:17 And
the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth
the will of God abideth for ever.
3. THE LIFE OF CHRIST IS A LIFE OF
COMPASSION, LOVE, CHARITY.
Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with
compassion toward them,
because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to
teach them many things. Eph.5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath
loved us, and hath
given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a
sweetsmelling savour. 1Pet.4:8 And above all things have fervent
charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude
of sins. 1John 4:11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
There is much that could be said
concerning all of these points, but I pray that you will look
more into them. But I do want to say this; How is it that all men
know that we are Christ's? John 13:35 (By this shall all men
know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.)
And how is it that we know that we are Christ's, and have His LIFE? 1John 3: 14 (We know that we have passed
from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that
loveth not his brother abideth in death.)
Now here is where the message is
coming to. Jesus said in, Mat. 25: 40 & 45 (And the King
shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, YE
HAVE
DONE IT UNTO ME. ver.
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, YE DID IT NOT TO ME.) Please take time to read Mat. 25, verses
32 - 46 in order to see all that Jesus was dealing with.
It is clear to see from verses 40
& 45 that Jesus takes it Personal the treatment that is given
to those who are His. Wether that treatment is Good or Bad. He
said; WHAT
YOU HAVE DONE UNTO THEM, YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME!
Some may ask; How can this be?
Because when I deal with a Brother or Sister in Christ, I am no
longer dealing with that person; I AM NOW DEALING WITH THE LIFE OF
CHRIST WHICH IS IN THEM! So I must be very careful how I
deal with that LIFE. Did not God say to Abraham in Gen. 12:3 (And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.)
And then in Ex. 23:22 (But if thou shalt indeed obey his
voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto
thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.)
No wonder John could say in 1John
3:17 & 18 (But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth
his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion
from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ver.18 My
little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but
in deed and in truth.)
Seeing that it is no longer that
person I am dealing with; that is if they are truly IN CHRIST, and CHRIST IN THEM. But that it is CHRIST'S LIFE IN THEM that I am now dealing
with; I will want to treat that LIFE right. As the Word of God says;
Rom. 12:10 (Be kindly affectioned one to another with
brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;) Eph 4:31 & 32, 5:1
& 2 (Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and
clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
ver.32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath
forgiven you. 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear
children; ver.2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved
us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to
God for a sweetsmelling savour.) Col. 3:12 -14 (Put on therefore, as
the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; ver.13 Forbearing
one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. ver.14 And
above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of
perfectness.) 1Pet. 4:8 (And above all things have fervent
charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude
of sins. ver.9 Use hospitality one to another without
grudging.)
For Jesus Said; Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, YE HAVE DONE IT
UNTO ME.
