WuSister

I have been a fan of Wu-Tang for a long time.  My obsession began in the days of Enter The Wu-Tang and grew.  Today I have invested about 2 Grand in albums, posters, gear, concerts and a pilgrimage to Staten Island.  I am not going to tell you how much I love them and how wonderful they are because anybody could write that garbage about any group.  And I am not going to tell you facts about Wu-Tang because there are a million pages that do just that (check my links below)  Instead I will tell you a little bit of my experiences and thoughts on the universe that is Wu-Tang.

WuSister At Wu-WearFavorite Wu-Tang Experience
My pilgrimage to Staten Island.  My girl Karen and I took the ferry from Manhattan (which was free!!!) over to Staten Island.  Once there a nice fine man showed us the way to Wu-Wear.  Holy Heaven.  Everything I could possible want I found... Jewelry, Ts, baby T's (mine said "French Vanilla" of course), cologne, incense, mugs, jerseys, posters etc.  I was like a kid in a ... Well I stocked up.  Then the girl working there bestowed on me free tapes, cds, posters and stickers.  I was in awe.  Next we headed to the store owned by U-God (the name escapes me right now) there we were greeted with more free stash.  Until this day I had wanted to get an actual Wu Symbol as a tat it was then I had the idea of the bee.

Worst Wu-Tang Experience
While I was in New York I heard that they were shooting a Wu-Tang video near where we were staying.  So we decided to go, and apparently we were working on West Indian time and 2 or 3 hours later we left.  We arrived at the scene of the shooting of the video of Bronx War Stories (A.I.G.)  just as the trailers were pulling away.

Wu-Tang Manual by The RZA
Right now I am reading the Wu-Tang Manual by the RZA and I am really enjoying it. The first half is almost completly about the influences RZA has had on his life and it is very interesting to read about the influences of someone who has influenced me so much.
