Grand Event in Cuba 22nd - 29th March 2002

Greetings from Cuba to each one of InI, hard workers of the Most High, blessings to InI Itinually. InI would like to share with the beloved ones the great news of Prosperity and Ivelopment. The Rastafari House in Cuba has been established officially against all the odds. When InI says officially, I mean officially in the eyes of the Most High, His Ivine Majesty Haile Selassie the 1st. The rest of InI plan is about dealing with the system to recover the dignity and power that had been given to Rastafari naturally.

InI traveled on a mystical journey that turned into a magnificent way for the Most High to teach InI, to guide InI for the fulfillment of InI holy plans. It is a very great joy to declare that the mission was a great success for everyone that was a part of it and is part of the Rastafari Revolution. For seven days in the face of babylon, the mystical congregation travelled together with the Nyahbinghi drums from the west to the east of the island. Everything started in Cuba's capital Havana city. From the neighboring province of Pinar del Rio came different ones, without knowing what the Most High was planning, but H.I.M spirit guided InI, and for every good reason.

InI collective was planning to establish once and for all, the Rastafari House in Cuba. It was the Mission given to InI to fulfill. It was done without warning because we could not let Babylon know the move. The word was spread in a matter of two or three days, calling ones and ones to come and rally by the mountains. When the congregation departed from the capital there were 32 people, made up of men, women and children. InI tried to rent a bus but it was not possible due to the economical struggle of the country. We had only a few days then InI collective decided to travel through the highway (a very common way of traveling for many) sitting by the side of the road waiting for a truck or a big vehicle (in Cuba called ‘camiones’) that could carry all of us. It was then a great experience, we pass towns and towns and everywhere the presence of Rastafari was felt. The idea was to collect brothers and sisters on the way who wanted to go with the congregation, and it was fulfilled.

Thanks to the Most High InI always found the transportation to move, it was a test for everyone, as it needed Unity to continue the journey. We were all there together, struggling to get to the mountains, it was hard in the back of the trucks, but InI had a great expectations, so it was really a wonderful journey. The congregation stopped in Cienfuegos, Ciego de Avila, Camaguey, Las Tunas, Bayamo, and finally the town of El Cobre in Santiago de Cuba. It happened that in different towns many people never saw a Rastafari congregation before and in their faces was some kind of disbelief, as well as astonishment. In each stop, when the Nyahbinghi drums were announcing the presence of Rastafari, it was very uplifting to see the people reacting in a very positive manner towards the chanting, many stayed and listened with respect. The popular support was visible, the people felt the righteous spirit of the congregation; the manifestation that things are changing for Rastafari in the island, at least from the people’s point of view. InI encountered the police but because we were so many, they left us alone (for that time). They could not believe what was happening, because everything came as a surprise.

It took the congregation three days to get to El Cobre, a town by the mountains in the province of Santiago de Cuba and the most Caribbean side of the island, very close to Jamaica. By that time the congregation had grown to 61 brothers, sisters and children in total. InI stayed in the town for a day, the next day InI went up the mountains that surrounded the town, where InI ancestors rebelled against the Spanish oppressor, where they hid and challenged the machinery of the beast’s army. The Rastafari congregation settled by the river, in the mountains, where the water falls, and burned down Babylon and chanted ises to the Most High Haile Selassie I Rastafari. With the blessings of Nature, Mother Earth, Rastafari established and settled a way of functioning to gain the power that is needed to re-establish the values of Goodness and Peace. The Congregation decided to call the national House as Organización de Centralización de Rastafari (Organization for the Centralization of Rastafari), in each province are located a local house, and each one of the houses are linked with the national Committee. It was 7 days between the time when the congregation left the capital and settled in the mountains the Foundation of the Divine Works. From the 22nd until the 29 of March, year 2002 (Western calendar).

The Community knows that there is lots of works to do, InI people there have been kept in the extreme absence for knowledge of how to organize in spiritual matters. Still, InI in Cuba got a very good advantage, which is the non-existence of the different houses, with the different criteria. There is also not the problem of who is more right than the other, or who is the right one to lead or not. InI in Cuba have established the Rastafari House open for anyone of InI brothers and sisters, Boboshanti, Nyahbinghi, 12 Tribes, Ethiopia World Federation Inc, and the others houses, or institutions that function as Rastafari; united in one voice: RASTAFARI. That is of the essence, to gather the positives talents that InI have in common and put it together for the fulfillment of His' plans. For the International Community of Rastafari is very important to acknowledge the situation of InI family in Cuba.

Due to the economical problems there is a lack of many things that here in the west are not difficult to obtain. The Rastafari artists suffer the difficulties (many time impossibilities) to find materials to work with, the musicians have a great problem finding instruments and equipments together with the great difficulties just to survive, literally. InI will be very grateful to any contributions that different organizations can give humbly to the Rastafari Community in Cuba. InI in Cuba are ready to work in conjunction with the International Community of Rastafari. Great help is needed and great help can be given.
Testimony of the journey and glory exists in video and photography. When it is possible it will be distributed. Meanwhile, InI continue the works and rejoice from the fruits of thy labor.

In the community is a general recognition that it is important to work together and the seeking of the highest knowledge and spirituality. It is not an easy road, we all know, but it is still good to know that in many places the struggle continue, and that we are not alone in the fight.

In Cuba this event was great because after so much oppression and total separation from the whole world, Rastafari manifested in the Unity and Upliftment of the growing and very young community in the island. Like in many Caribbean Islands the repression against the Rastafari people has been very evident, and in Cuba it is not different. After this event, police started to question some of InI brothers and sisters, right now some brothers have been put in jail for carrying ganja, losing their locks and freedom. A brother and his queen in front of their two children were beaten up by the police because their Rastafari values.

In many countries in Afro-Latino-America the communities as well are growing, in Chile, in Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Panama, Mexico, etc. Very young generations of followers of His Majesty Teachings are coming with strong Ises. Respect.

Update of events: This event was the Manifestation of His Majesty Will; to bring the Word to any place in the planet, regardless the difficulties and the impediments that come in the way. Part of the outcome of this event, in the physical level, has been the waves of tribulations and repression that have covered InI people in the island. Many ones have been put in jail, the system is using the excuse of the herbs to keep ones and ones lock up without a trial, without a proper legal defence lawyer, and even more in many cases without physical evidences against them. So again and again the hand of babylon using any excuses to try to eliminate InI spirit of Community and Oness. The outcome in the spiritual aspect of it is that, we all know, through tribulations we can become a better and wiser person. We can learn and grow into higher levels of overstanding. Something positive will come out anyway from all this. With HIS Blessings.
Have been nearly a year since many ones from the Rastafari community in Cuba, valuable and positive ones, were taken captive by the police. The conditions inside the jails are unbearable and do not allow the ones to practice the Livity of Rastafari. Their rights have to be considered and acknowledge for the Cuban government, something that is not at all manifesting. InI will fight in anyway to help this happen, and justice can manifest at last for InI people over there.
InI pray for InI brothers and sisters that are suffering the harsh and factual brutality from the enemies of the Almighty. May HIM guide the ones and ones and give them strength to keep the faith high, to maintain the Vision of Freedom, Redemption.
The ones doing works to bring InI communities up to higher levels, the ones dedicated to the Works, Blessings Itinually. InI have to continue spreading the Word, working to manifest HIS Plans.
